London Calling ran "Pugs for Pubs" through the TN community forums and I thought those were a lot of fun, except for the part that I was terrible.

i watched a star_ video about highlander so i googled highlander and found a load of extv highlander casts and i liked them so i started looking through those videos and found the 6v6 ones and watched all of them and then i started looking to play

It's okay slardel, the daniel and slardel frag vid also greatly inspired me (and many others I assume) to join comp tf2!!

I stumbled on their servers randomly, then i joined their community and started playing Heavy HL in UGC. (Oh yeah baby)

I used to watch frag videos and CommFT a lot so I made my own HL team in the summer of last year, ended up play for ArenaFortress a couple months later in HL.

My story into comp.

TF2 pub for about a year. Found a great community to hang with and don my first ever group tag on Steam. Loved the guys on the community to the point that I wanted to find an event in which I can promote our group and play with friends. Found ETF2L and seemed like a blast. Turned out fantastic.

Really got pumped up for medic and Gintoki along with *KENNY*, Vexo, Strike, bushi-browns, and raps showed me the light to 6's.

Really couldn't have made it without all of my beloved teammates and ETF2L to be honest. <3

Through BFC highlander "scrims" I saw that people were very good at the game. Saw Secs move towards a higher skill level, and Zak/Blindtalent continue towards invite. They helped out along the way when I had questions. Also remember playing Boomer in a random highlander "scrim" before he was invite, and getting destroyed.

Seeing people in my community like Tyler, Panic, Magus and Chaaz play and have a ton of fun. They really inspired me to pick my game up and get into competitive.
