I'm making my first film. Its a puppet movie, set in the same universe as Robert Benfer's Fracktaplots. Its a spiritual sequel / reboot. If you dont know who Rob is, he is known as Knox, from Newgrounds. He made Knoxs Korner. His first film was Klay World Off The Table, made it in his room by himself, made over 80 grand.
Jason Steele from Filmcow (known for Charlie the Unicorn) might do some voices, Rob is talking to him about it.
The film is about a family of sock puppets, they move to live with their grandfather in the mountains, he built his home there to finish a book. What he didn't know was that he built it on a old burial ground for a long lost race of giant sock puppet monsters, only one survived and buried them there. After there Mother passed away, the Motez family has to live with their Grandpa, the oldest son Hazelton leads the family, but discovers the hell his Grandfather created. At night, the remaining giant comes and screams at the house in a foreign tongue to warn them about how the land they built the house on is haunted by his ancestor's. But no one understands it, and Grandfather Motez wants to kill the giant because he cant sleep at night. He works all day in his room and locks everyone out, not knowing that during that day the home is haunted.
Only Hazleton can figure out how to save his family, and the mystery of the giant.
The film will be traditionally made, no Ai tools, handcrafted. I'm building the sets, filming it, and voicing in it.

If anyone is interested in helping, I submitted a workshop effect last year for Halloween, that still has a shot this year to get in. It was made by a team I formed, guided by a friend called Muhai who does a lot of workshop items, the concept was done by me and the project directed, it was a interesting collab. If anyone could vote on it or share, the money on it would go towards making this movie and personally, I could use the extra funding for building the set pieces. I'm literally building everything myself and materials gets expensive. I'm shooting it on a iphone 16 pro max with anamorphic adapters, while still offering the movie for free at 1080p via flash based (posting it on newgrounds in segments) the entire film is gunna be shot at 4k and pitched to apple tv.
I have had a lot of people help me so far, and Griff has been a vivid / regular sketchbook buyer, I've set aside the money from him to upgrade to this phone and get the lenses. The puppets are gunna be custom built, latex / rubber, etc. I'm pooling already a lot of money into this on my own and waiting to switch to a job that offers me more for free time next year to shoot it. I'm a selling a house to give me the breathing room. It started as a small thing, a little thing, but its become a passion project for me, and any help would mean a lot.

I know I joke and shitpost here a lot, and making art and movies, is my gateway to moving beyond tf2, at least in a competitive standpoint, I want to stay retired from it and put my passion into things I've invested just as much time in.
