I was having massive issues with the game feeling really choppy and I couldn't figure out why, until recently i decided to try windowed mode (without the noborder setting) and suddenly it feels smooth as butter. fullscreen and windowed noborder both have the same issue of choppiness.

Anyone else dealt with this? if so, any solutions?

i hope a source genius can help here, because i have the opposite problem lmao

game runs horribly bad (despite good fps?) in windowed and window/noborder but runs pretty smooth in fullscreen

#1 might be cause of a dx level issue?
#2 something to do with how its rendered or whatever that entails. normally its sorted out properly but having vsync on in game or in gpu panel will fuck your fps.

you could try toggling 'fullscreen optimizations' to see if that has any effect
