G400 Died, Not sure how to get replacement :|

My G400 died literally 5 minutes ago, and I can't for the life of me figure out where I should ask to get a replacement. Can anyone who has done it please point me to the right path, I have been only able to find posts on the logitech forum where people say they have the same issue, not where to actually file the complaint.

All help appreciated.

http://www.logitech.com/en-us/contact

From my experience it's faster to get a response by calling them than e-mailing. Support/warranty claims is +1 646-454-3200.

Is there an easy fix for the mouse cord going on the G400? Just started happening to mine as well; seems to happen on every mouse I get though after only a few months for some reason - they're not under any tension but something about the way I move them must bust them quickly...

using their website takes longer and they require proof that it is broken. calling them is much easier and they'll send a replacement.

+1 to calling them. They will just ask for the serial number from the bottom of the mouse to make sure the 3 year warranty is valid then they will [probably] send you the G400s.

QFT.

I've heard of some people getting a g500 because the g400 is discontinued, make sure you tell them you want the g400s, and not a laser mouse of some kind.

SideshowIs there an easy fix for the mouse cord going on the G400?

Superglue a dod of blutac to where the cable meets the mouse.

I replaced the cord with the one from my old mx518, which isn't that fragile. It took me like 15 minutes to do the whole thing(happened during a pcw)

I think the problem exists in the actual chord more than where the cable is soldered to the mouse.

The problem is it isn't firmly attached so any tension on the cable risks yanking it apart. Supergluing blutac solves this by transfering tension from the weak attachment to the mouse body (on my 3rd g400, this one has lasted months).

Contact customer support by phone.
They will ask for your e-mail, and then ask you for the following information*:

First name:
Sir name:
Adres:
Postal code:
Residence:
Phone:
Evidence / receipt of purchase to be added as appendix

Product M/N:
Product P/N:
Product PID of S/N:

*Logitech Netherlands, might differ for your region

I got an e-mail the same moment, and after two working days they mailed me back to inform me that a new G400s is coming my way.
I still have my old G400 at home but they told me to hold on to it for a month.

It's quite strange, lately i see a lot of people complain about their g400 not working properly, especially their cords breaking. My g400 also stopped working (kept disconnecting and connecting few times per minute while playing) after about 4 months.
I've been using my mx518 for 5 years and never had any problems with it...

I have 2 g400 sitting at home (broken) and a g400s that they sent me when the replacement failed. Confirmed, logitech has the greatest customer support ever.

Why do people keep buying these mice? Every time I hear them mentioned it's a thread about how the cable keeps breaking.

It's a pretty darn good mice, also the replacement is extremely easy to get, I decided to go for the call play instead of the email one, and it's already on the way :))

I have several of these that I have repaired. I have replaced the cable entirely with a stronger one as well as reinforced the stress points to eliminate the issue entirely. The mice are essentially new with less than 10 hours of use, but are technically used or 'non-factory refurbished'.

If you want one, shoot me a steam message.
