Someone should combine soap DM with tr_newbots
Kind of like how csgo players play offline bot deathmatch
Imagine all the possibilities :O
Mappers and modders out there YOU can become the next lange! :D

I'm imagining a viaduct mid sized arena with obstacles and props with several enemy bots of different combat classes and everyone spawns instantly in random locations
Much better than tr_newbots on its own imo, i imagine it will be widely used
What do you guys think :D

for the love of god don't use viaduct mid though
what about like, warmfront mid?

Sure i'm just using viaduct mid as a comparison for its size
I don't know any csgo pros who use bot death match as serious practice, maybe for warming up your muscle memory but you could just do the same on tr_newbots

I think what he's suggesting is basically an endless SoapDM on a map with players mixed in with bots, intended as a replacement for MGE

I figured as much, I just want to make sure I don't end up playing on viaduct forever. What other maps might be fun? Gravelpit last could be neat, hell even fucking Junction last would be fun if it didn't have a ceiling

No i'm thinking more of a offline custom practice map that you can run on your own computer for those who cannot access soap dm servers for various reasons (like me) or simply prefer to practice offline

For simply practicing muscle memory tr_newbots is the best way to go, basically you want to practice flicking as many times you can, also the reason why mge>dm for raw aim.

pretty much all of them

I always wanted a map with bots airstrafing, too often I find myself wanting that airshot experience without the hassle of connecting to a server and finding an MGE buddy.
That and SOAPDM seems hardly doable without external plugin scripting, but I don't know enough about the abilities mapping offer you to confirm.

Well then on this map you could also practice awareness and whatever else dm offers that mge doesn't. Anyway point is this map (if made by someone properly) should be able to mimic online soap dm offline with bots, this isn't a debate on mge vs dm lol
can someone post more lange memes i am thirsty for more

That would be amazing, especially since a bot can rocket jump and have perfect strafes, consistently, so it would be ideal. To make something like that, it would take great thought, as I would imagine it would take a lot to write a script so that the bots know to jump and strafe in a certain manner, while mixing up the patterns it strafes in so that you actually have to aim. Maybe it could steal the concept of controlling bot movement, like the bots in tr_rocketshooting2, but that's only an idea. Either way, I like your idea TwiiKuu.
enable bots on dm servers when players aren't active
Daggerenable bots on dm servers when players aren't active
Is good point
sometimes u play against bots, or sometimes u play tf2center or matchmaking. need practice
i would also like to contribute an idea:
a gamemode to simulate a 1v1 situation at last point. one player has to defend a cp while the other player attacks
the attacking player wins by either killing the defending or capturing the point (harder to accomplish but its good practice to juggle players off the point)
the defending player wins by either killing the attacking player or delay the them corresponding to the map arena's spawn times
https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Respawn_times#Control_Point
eg. if the attacker doesn't accomplish killing the defender or capture in 10s on process last, they lose
ideally halves are taken where attackers/defenders switch roles. but i'm not sure what a good "best of #" would be

The tf2 equivalent of csgo retake, learn map knowledge smokes, bases, aim, and basically everything
