After all that bullshit, seeing people who ordered on massdrop getting the mouse before preorderers was the last straw, so I filled a paypal dispute. Just too much bullshit.

I'm annoyed because I filed a dispute, then cancelled it (similar to Snow). Now I'm unsure if my order is even active any more and any emails/tickets I send have gone unanswered for ages. I want to know asap so I can either ask for my money back (to buy on Amazon) or to reactivate my order.

Really frustrating :s

I'm the sad fan who kept believing and refreshed the page every day until the store finally went online (source). I'm probably the first order in the system. It sucks to have paid earlier and more than everyone who is getting their stuff already. Having said that, I'm still keeping my pre-order and waiting. The reason I followed this project so closely and pre-ordered instantly is because I want to support bst, as stupid as that sounds after everything thats happened. Even if it turns out to be absolute trash, it's worth more than its dollar value to me.

I'm really looking forward to what war has to say about it!

Please discuss the cable's durability. I don't give a damn if it's too springy or too stiff as long as it's going to stay connected. Also placement of m4/side buttons would be cool, I've heard a few people say they're awkwardly placed and not in the most intuitive place for easy gripp

Cable does have some drag but is very flexible and feels very secure on the mouse end. Might get a bungee for it. Only thing I can complain about is that with the way it is packaged, the cable is pulled back tightly behind the mouse and that lead to the cord touching the mouse pad right as it left the mouse, but that's easy enough to fix by bending it into a better position.

M4/M5 buttons are perfect for my hand size with my fingertip grip, would maybe like to see them be a bit bigger but I'm coming from a g9x which has fairly large m4/m5 buttons. I can also confirm the issues other people have been reporting where you can press the body of the mouse just below the m4/m5 buttons to activat them, however this does require significantly more pressure to do than pressing the buttons so it isn't something you would do by accident.

As others have reported, the left mouse button is slightly raised, so when you put your finger on it it travels about 1 or 2 millimeters before touching the switch to start the click, but it is light enough that just having your finger resting on the button is enough to keep it touching the switch so it doesn't make a difference in practice.

Feet aren't quite as frictionless on my Goliathus Speed mouse pad as my G9x was but that might change after I clean my pad, either way it's not so bad.

Mouse wheel is good, an improvement over my G9x's, a lot smoother to scroll and has a nice mouse3 click too, very clicky not mushy at all.

Packaging was solid, quite impressed, although the plastic shell within the outer box had some really fucking annoying to open flaps. Comes with a Ninox logo sticker and 4 replacement feet.

The software is decent to use, but I noticed when changing some settings (one in particular is turning off enhanced pointer precision) the mouse becomes unresponsive for about a second, then response for a second then back off for 2-3 seconds while the setting saves. Haven't seen it happen when not fiddling with settings though.

The LED colours are quite vibrant, have various levels of brightness and breathing effects which is nice. The colour choice is quite varied, but the ability to manually set particular colours uses values from 0-10 changing RGB values, would be better to see the normal 0-255 scale here than 0-10.

Sensitivity values are 400, 800, 1600, 3200, 4000. Would have preferred a ~1200 value but that's my personal preference and I can adapt to moving my mouse a bit faster for 800.

You have 5 profiles, each with 3 modes that you can switch between by pressing the button just below the scroll wheel, have to open the software to change between profiles though I think (could be wrong).

Button rebinding is very comprehensive, lots of options and the ability to write custom macros is useful. Can't speak to the quality of the "macro manager" though as I don't personally use any.

You can also adjust polling rate from the default of 500Hz to values of 125, 250, 500 and 1000Hz, change windows pointer speed and toggle enhanced pointer precision. Scroll wheel can be adjusted to scroll either a particular number of lines or one page at a time. Double click speed is also adjustable and has a little button to test it on next to it.

Overall I'm very pleased with the purchase. It definitely isn't perfect but it blows anything else at this price point (and some significantly more expensive price points) out of the water .

No idea how to measure it precisely, but by moving the mouse slightly while raising it until the cursor stops moving, it seems about 3-5mm.

povohatThe reason I followed this project so closely and pre-ordered instantly is because I want to support bst, as stupid as that sounds after everything thats happened.

Yeah I agree, I only found out about this very recently (November in fact) but for a single guy to come this far and deliver something this good even if there were issues with shipping and such is very impressive. I've seen bigger companies fuck up far worse than this and the community backlash I saw at ESR was disgusting. It's justifiable to be upset when you supported early by preording and ended up paying more and getting it later, but that doesn't justify the vitriol I saw in some of those comments.

WARHURYEAHDoes anyone have any questions? I'm doing my video today so if there's anything you want me to go over let me know now.

Is there a huge difference in weight compared to using something like a DeathAdder? My current DA weights somewhere around 140g and the Ninox aurora is 70g according to the mouse's website, so I want to know if the difference in the weight is huge enough to make me change my sens since I've been using the same mouse for 2-2.5 years. The main reason I want to get the ninox is because is does weigh so little so any input on that stuff would be helpful.

Yes. Having used a g100s i can tell you that a 70g mouse feels incredibly weird for the first week or so, and you will want to change your sens.

It's up.

Apologies that it's low quality, I did this all yesterday and the files went corrupt, so I blasted through it again.

I really need a decent recording set up too!

And @edy

Yes you will need to change ur sens, but that's just to get used to controlling the mouse, once you are used to it you will probably move it higher after a while.

To be fair, I think most people could handle the shipping delay. What was really bad was that bst rarely updated when it wouldn't have taken much effort to post what was going on.

Personally, I felt pretty screwed over by bst- I would have ordered a new mouse and maybe cancelled my current order had bst been upfront about what was going on, but he chose to be quiet which was a selfish decision in my opinion.

I want to love this mouse I really do, but the one I received has some strange issues.

For some reason it malfunctions almost every time I flick my mouse to the left. I measured the mouse a few times in Enotus without issue (4ish m/s) but the sensor still freaks out when I try to do something like a left rocket jump. Also, for whatever reason I can't seem to rj anymore using right click as jump. Usually for something like a ctap I time my crouch then press M1/M2 simultaneously, but I can't for the life of me press both buttons at the same time with this mouse, my rj fails every time. (I should note that I have no issues left or right clicking in or out of game. As far as I can tell everything works fine with both switches except that exact situation :s)

As I said I really really want to love this mouse. The weight is amazing and I feel like my aim is better with it, but it's hard to play with these issues. Is anyone else experiencing oddities like this? Any suggestions?

I just got mine today and I'm pretty sure my mouse4 and 5 buttons were broken out of the box. They're like...INSIDE the mouse LOL. That part is disappointing but overall I'm satisfied with how the mouse grips for my tiny hands. In addition I love the LED and the aesthetics of the mouse overall. SO FAR SO GOOD (minus the m4 and m5 which i have filed a support ticket for~)

Ok I tested it out a bit

I have to say that I absolutely love that I can grip this mouse comfortably. I have tiny hands and gripping the deathadder was a chore for me. The mouse is incredibly light and though the cord is a little bit annoying, there's nothing a little tape can't fix to help the drag a bit. I have a PureTrak Talent so I'm not sure how it glides on other mousepads, but it's super smooth on the Talent. Also the light changes color @_@_@_@_@_@

So is there still an issue with ordering this to be shipped to an address in the united states? Can anyone in the US who has gotten it already post what their specific experience was with payment -> shipping times?

Also do I need to order it off the ninox site or is there a more common reseller (amazon?) that I could order it from?

Thanks!

If it's anything like the orders though, you should be able to see your money refunded anywhere between 2 weeks to 2 months.

Ok, I've got mine (ordered via Amazon). It's amazing, no glaring issues so far. The cable is stiff but I have a ghetto bungee so it's not a bother. My one and only issue is that when using the mouse the rear of the mouse caused the whole thing to tilt up sometimes, making it feel unstable. The mouse comes with four extra feet in the box, so I used one to solve this problem (the added foot is circled):

Sorry for the shit quality, but you get my point.

9/10, amazing mouse; definitely my new main mouse.

Oh, and you've probably heard this a thousand times but holy shit it's light. It's also really comfy to use; the materials feel great.
