Seems like the top 4 teams on Owls writeup are the people who have been around for a buncha seasons now and are definitely not new to open. Those are the teams you should be striving to beat out in the end.

Agree, although besides dancenumber and differentcolors, basically nobody on silky has more than a season of experience. The top three are definitely all really experienced teams though.

Looking forward to watching some open STVs tonight. It's currently my goal to watch every esea match this season, which shouldn't be too hard when you consider that I have literally nothing else to do at home.

It's cool that you spend your free time to create more competition between the teams. As far as the money bonus incentive for open players though, the top 4 teams would definitely not qualify for obvious reasons. Which is why I said those look like the teams to beat.

With the obvious exception of number 1, I don't see any ex-invite players on those teams? let's review the wording, again...

PlatinumI'll give an extra $120 to a top 2 finisher that has no sandbagging ex-invite nerds on their team this season. Let's play video games.

blink also pledged to match platinum's offer so he does have some say in where his money goes as well and I can see why he'd want to exclude those four teams.

If I were offering bonuses I'd probably exclude Arizona and Goldman Sachs personally, but it's really up to each person who wants to give extra money to a winner.

One team that to watch this season is Snorkeling Orcas (http://play.esea.net/teams/81289). They're definitely going to be a top contender this season.

Hopefully we can do well enough to be worth writing about now that our demo stopped bottom damaging. Excited for the season.

well blink's post specified no players with above open experience, so blink's money obviously won't go to any teams that have players from IM/Main.

but as far as platinum and presumably twitch johns money (he just matched plats offer without specifying requirements), teams 2-4 are good to go

of course I'm assuming they will hold to the wording of their posts as people have potentially spent money under those pretenses and changing it would be kinda shitty (although it's generous of them to even offer in the first place)

yankeeOne team that to definitely watch this season is Snorkeling Orcas (http://play.esea.net/teams/81289). They're definitely going to be a top contender this season.

imo depends on if they stick on the classes they're currently playing. If they do, I can see a mid-playoff seed by the end of the season for sure. If they switch like bosh and rill to scout then yeah they'll probably be up closer to the top of the list by season's end.

It's basically common sense. I want open teams to be hungry to advance to the next level. If you've been hanging around in IM/Main for 5 seasons just trolling you can't really consider yourself an open player.

Another example would be budsquad last season. They took 4 invite players with 2 new open players. That wouldn't qualify.

You can easily see players histories or any nonsense going on.

Snorkeling Orcas had really good matchs versus We Made Silkthread and ascended to the next level, too bad ascended was down 1 for most of the time. Would have been a good match if they had 6
