From what i have heard thats not completely true but I've been watching the HRG matches because those were what tftv's youtube channel uploaded since im never around to watch live. Seagull is quite good too, don't know many of the others.
Seagull and Platinum are pretty close (close, not better, that's what skyride said).
If you don't know any EU demos you are probably not in the position to judge them.
