gotta love it when people try to fight setsul with anecdotal evidence

just a protip: SSL stuff will always run into issues if your system clock isn't synced, so considering your PC was off for a like a week, the CMOS battery may have died in that time, causing the clock to get out of sync
TheOnlyGuyEverI'm editing the VTFs as PNGs in Paint.NET then using VTFEdit to convert them from PNGs back to VTFs.
for the record there's a VTF plugin for Paint.NET that I honestly think works way better than VTFEdit
what I'd say is try taking the original files and then just re-saving them with the VTF plugin. from there we can narrow down whether it's your edits or your save method causing the issue. don't bother pulling them into VTFEdit, just use the VTF plugin directly, that way no information is lost in the transfer (this is what I think the issue is).
you're probably losing one of your channels that PNG doesn't support, which is used for paint color information.
shorasyttriumhttp://puu.sh/rlwZ2/e72a13b960.pngA patch from 2017?
https://earldouglas.com/diversions/thats-the-joke/thats-the-joke.jpg
probably yet another dx8 regression
expect to maybe see a random patch fixing it in a year or two
edit: alongside some localization changes
edit2:
Here's what I have for it in my custom foldier: And here's what shows up in-game: That boggy brown overlay is not supposed to be there, it should look like this: you're trying to embed web pages, not direct image links
how are you editing these vtfs? can you pass me the original file and your new one?
coldfront/warmfront is honestly atrocious as a competitive 6s map, feels way too much like 5gorge with even more chokes
that being said it has a sexy as hell midpoint and I can't wait to see a koth version played competitively. The size of it might also make it work well for HL too.
panda106lack of advertisement i guess
reminds me of this email i got yesterday
baltiHi
Can someone please give me a name of any hud that comes with different hud-crosshairs for primary and secondary slot. A quick google search didn't make it:(
huds can't change crosshairs based on slot. only regular crosshairs can do that because it relies on a crosshair switcher script and scripts can't interact with huds.
HotCoffeeyttriumall cloud options will probably destroy your bandwidth, and if you're trying to back up more than like 50GB it's going to cost a fortune
For the record, I use Google Drive and it is 2$ for 100 gb. Upscales to 10 bucks for a terabyte. But having multiple hard drives is good aswell. Backing up to only one place isn't really a backup so having multiple different avenues for storage is the best option.
I meant it'll cost both in service fees and in total bandwidth necessary.
If you're doing almost nothing on the internet, it isn't going to cost much, but if you're saving family photos from a decade it'll kill you in ways RAID 1 wouldn't.
if you're worried about having a drive fail, RAID 1
if you're worried about losing data from some kind of operation, just use Windows Backup and Restore, it's surprisingly really solid

MushirMickeyJoewolsneIt would be much more rewarding if you just looked up how to add the assets to your game files, plus you'd learn something in the process. It's surprisingly easier than you'd think and shouldn't take you more than 30 minutes max to find some helpful tutorials online. Who knows? Maybe you'll enjoy the process enough to make your own fully custom hud in your free time :)Though I fully understand what you're saying, I used to make Minecraft resource packs and can't be asked to fiddle around with in-game files anymore. xD
it's nowhere near as complicated as minecraft's stuff
edit: actually this stuff probably ties in with hudanimations_tf so nevermind, it's slightly complicated
arbitrarily shittalking people in threads like these
fuck you flatline
one really big thing is remembering that there are like five different routes to attack with on this point, and that because of this it's different than every other point.
for all intents and purposes red actually has no way out, you're attacking them from all angles and they're cornered. having red pull out or back up literally means having them run back into spawn.
there's a balcony which makes a great spam angle, there's a sniper window, your combo can push through the building that leads onto red's balcony, and your engie and scout should be pushing the cart that whole time.
