Preceeding this was the DreamHack TF2 Community Clash 2021 in NA where the asdf mix beat froyo. As per Liquipedia this was their first 2nd place since 2017.
And I mean, if we want to go deeper down the froyotech upset loss rabbit hole, then balls cup team in the RGL Winter Cup the same year. Froyo dropped like a 1-4 loss to them in groups. I still remember the hype around aim's stream back then...good times.

Both songs were in my opinion pretty powerful with their messages and in general pleasant to listen to. I preferred the first one however due to it being more upbeat and pop-esque. James Brown's words were withoutdoubt meaningful as well, but I didn't personally enjoy him "talking", if you get what I mean.

without pugs, if you dont have a team, there is literally no way for you to play proper comp
and currently, there isn't even a season on, so there is no real way to play.

Maybe I am wrong, but I think the main a biggest problem of protfx is that nobody knows about it. I think if this problem is to be fixed, then etf2l has to release its own pugging service and heavily advertise it on the website. Maybe introduce a 2 tier pugging system with an open captain (every level) and closed no captain queue (open-low), in order to get lower level players started. Etf2l as an org in general also has more power, so people who are extremely toxic (eventhough I think this wasn't a big problem in pugs for 1-2 years now) can be banned from pugs and etf2l at once, giving bans more weight and hopefully resulting in a more civilized experience, especially for lower skilled players.

The BO3 cause of the miniseason is understandable, but having a minimum of 1 map being played in a "finals" feels very dissatisfactory and more petty than anything. Imagine working hard only to play a potential of 1 map lmao
At that point just give the UBF team free power over the 3 maps played instead - this has the possibility of being very powerful aswell and enables more gaming which I'm sure everyone would want :)

I'm the only other Estonian player who could come close to varnu, but I only play one class and have been hardstuck Div1 for 2 years (the reasons of which people I'm sure are aware of). Even if I were prem, I think their experience in general on Scout and Soldier just dwarves mine. I don't think I could come close to their level I'll be completely humble about it.

For the love of God, if this league does end up actually being real not some shitpost, then change the match format into something that does not include halves - that is completely unnecessary. It doesn't even matter if b4nny cfg or something else replaces it, just have it GONE.
Also change Pyro and Sniper class limit to 1 immediately. As if 1 sniper isn't already tedious enough, but 2? Outsh'allah brother
KittehBig News: Taking RGL Philly LAN International? ✈️
We’ve had some very exciting developments behind the scenes. Recently, an international team reached out expressing interest in competing at RGL LAN (July 24–26, 2026).
This has us thinking: Is it time to pivot this into a truly global event?
To make an international bracket sustainable and competitive, we are looking for a minimum of two teams from outside North America to commit. If we can hit that threshold, we are ready to level up the scale of this tournament.
This all sounds very exciting and I hope things work out the best, but how would the international aspect work? Aren't these LANs typically meant for RGL playoffs, i.e the top 4 teams of invite (not including the Open tournament)? Won't this secret international team be something big and recognisable, or some smaller team looking to have fun? Perhaps it's too early to speculate like this but I am quite curious :D

I think we can all afford to laugh at ourselves sometimes, i certainly say my share of shit over the years.
I want to add to the fact that hosts and casters (talent in general) say or do something wacky on purpouse to create engagement, which is in other words entertaining. I don't think any of the "fun poking" hellzraizer did in that video were of bad taste, and I'm even more sure that the same talents featured in the video do not actually mind people poking fun of them, unless it's with seriously malevolent cause
Good shout on the MANDEM side, because they did used to have their own unique team image without the help of AI (to my knowledge). I wonder what made them come up with this stupid idea.
Glad someone brought this up because it seems to me that many people don't unfortunately understand the ethical problems AI brings to the table. Any sort of non-human materials or "pieces of art" should not be propagated and spread around, even if the intentions behind it are innocent. They can admittedly be very amusing, but even light-hearted things have their limits.
Imo might as well restrict it. ETF2L already reverts inappropriate team names, images etc. And that comes from my own-hand experience when I wanted to call my team pen15 but had to change it to People Eliminating Nefariousness 15. This time we can perhaps let it slide, but for the future new rules should definetly be established, which clarify the usage of media in the league(s).
