While we're at it can we please ban anyone who says "die" in chat? If you really think about it that's basically the same as saying kys. This would make my rgl experience much better, thank you :)

untamedhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7k0BscgoLH0&feature=youtu.be&t=133 does anyone have this crosshair in vtf form or in general?
think that's just xhairshadowdefault, should be on cfg.tf
Could try booting into safe mode to see if it's some weird windows process (despite your fresh install), years ago I had to do that to diagnose an issue when I noticed that explorer.exe would slowly eat up all 8gb of my ram lol.
Nursay I know I also have bias as I pub frequently still and have been playing highlander for a really long time. I would much rather hear "it's not fun" than someone pulling some stupid theory out of their ass on why a weapon is broken.
ironically(?) I would say for certain things (flamethrowers and detonator/scorch in particular, but there are prob others) it's the hl players/pubbers who complain about them way more for being unfun or braindead. by contrast I don't think I've ever seen pubbers complain about mad milk when that shit is straight busted.
of course it makes sense that those groups complain about them more because you're way more likely to see full time pyro in pubs/hl than in 6's but my point is more that there are some things in this game that a lot of people, no matter how you experience this game, hate solely for being "unfun" or easy/lowskill (think w+m1 complaints)
stalagmites are rock formations for pussies
seriously though this map looks really cool, can't wait to see matches on it
ward3d What other game has restrictions like class limits and weapon whitelists today?
Smash? Hell it has even more restrictions considering literally all items are off lol. Imagine if people in the smash community suggested that they turn items on because it's more familiar to the casual player/outsiders who only see smash as a party game. Turns out that allowing uncompetitive things when you're trying to make a competitive game solely for the reason that "it's part of the base game" is a fucking terrible idea. Not to mention that cs was about to ban the r8 revolver before it got fixed. I really think you're overestimating how complicated the idea of "it's banned because it's broken or uncompetitive" is.
NurseyI'm completely willing to deal with the very minor negatives of unlocks that will barely scratch the meta of our game if it even means it'll help out even the tiniest of bit. It feels like I'm trying to stay optimistic while most of those around on this site are trying to take any enthusiasm away.
People like b4nny always spout this shit about players needing to sacrifice their own enjoyment of the game "for the greater good" but literally what benefits are there at all to unbanning uncompetitive unlocks? You already admit that unbanning these unlocks only brings potential negatives to the game itself, and at best affects nothing. I remember during the initial global whitelist push (which btw NA has totally abandoned, what happened to people like SLIN saying that the communities should have 1 whitelist lmao) the proponents were saying that unbanning unlocks will also attract new players. Unfortunately, that has not been the case and the pattern in player numbers went basically unchanged pre and post global whitelist, so it'd be a little absurd to think that an extra few unlocks would make any sort of change. Where exactly are these supposed benefits, no matter how small?
NurseyI highly doubt there's anyone currently playing this game that thinks there's a miraculous event we can make occur to make us a relevant esport.
The reason people jokingly bring up "Valve major" is because appealing to Valve was a big reason for the mass unbans within the global whitelist, and considering it's been two years since then and the comp tf2 community has absurdly little to show for it, I personally am quite cynical toward that particular line of reasoning.
Kind of a side note, but believe me when I say I've spent a LOT of time talking to tf2 players who have never touched any competitive format, ranging from the average pubber to the casual comp stream viewer to people who vehemently antagonize anything even vaguely related to comp, and I've met maybe 2 people who actually avoided comp because of certain unlocks being banned. Once that unlock got unbanned (gunslinger for both), they still avoided comp because turns out full-time engineer still sucks. The reasons why people don't want to play comp are either because they can't play their main full time viably and/or they hate 5cp (oftentimes these two things are tied together) or they only enjoy the chaos of 12v12 class stacking pub tf2 on maps with infinite sightlines and awful chokes.
saw a chick in school a lot who'd wear a tail
years later after this community has changed me i now start questioning how that tail is ... "attached"
I'm more excited for next season than I have for a long time, god damn. Rewind is going to be insane.
he did great at i63, hope he sorts things out

800 x 600 res
is there any benefit to using such a low res? Or is it just personal preference
can't speak for the original dude but for potato pc's/laptops it raises fps (probably does nothing if you have a desktop gpu from 2012+ lol)
Evil_MrMuffinzsomeone above praised the use of arrows in an ultiduo context. personally, i believe that arrows have been an interesting addition to 6s games as well. scout speed is also cool. i'm glad our medic friends have gotten a few more dynamic mechanics, hopefully they feel more like they're playing the same game as the rest of us. i know when i play medic that i love running fast and shooting sick arrows
i don't think ppl really argue that arrows and going fast aren't fun/interesting/engaging/some other adjective, just that it's bad for 6's. personally my biggest gripe was arrows was that i could just rely on them and not learn heal order at all or anything more "medic-like", but i'm open so take that with a grain of salt
anyway unpopular opinion: i like the risk/reward dynamic you actually have to consider when pushing on payload (and koth to a certain smaller extent), the risk being failing the push, reward being better time overall. i find that in 5cp it's really not too punishing if you play overly safe, in fact always playing safe might be the right call because of how the timer/rounds work
overall though i think push/pull dynamic of 5cp overrides other game mode benefits, but man some stalemates can get pretty boring
_brianMost of the marvel Netflix shows are really good. Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones are my favorites. Agents of Shield is really good too.
daredevil is great except for the fucking ninjas
i think the only time pyro was used seriously outside of some 5cp lasts was breaking viaduct forward holds? no idea if froyo still uses this strat though
