#12 DreamHack NA in LAN Discussion

Tickets are on sale for Dreamhack NA now:

http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/dreamhack-austin-2016-tickets-18609972930

When you sign up for a BYOC ticket it asks you what tournament you want to play in though, so I'm thinking that if you don't sign up for at least one of the PC tournaments you can't get a BYOC ticket.

Junior at the University of Texas at Austin.

I ran into TMP here my first year on campus, but I think he's long since graduated and moved on to other things.

The yellow dot marks the peak, which was 8,980, during the end of the viaduct match. The viewer number held steady between upper 7k and lower 8k throughout the entirety of the finals.

#7 Teamfortress TV Song List? in TF2 General Discussion

I made a playlist for i52 a year ago and a lot of the songs that were used back then I still hear on stream. While it doesn't have all of the songs on it, it might cover quite a few of them.

If you want, PM me when you hear a song that's not on this list and I can try and turn this post into a comprehensive resource for people.

ViperI'm still getting the lime-green numbers on my scoreboard with the August 27th. version. Is there a hud file I need to modify to fix it?

Also, is it possible to get the Broesel Cross player health to work in minmode?

Try this version and see if it works:

https://github.com/raysfire/rayshud/archive/e259cbb815ce1465506670a8c1a98cb44e82b2ab.zip

As for the broesel cross, you could get the file from the normal version and put it in minmode if you want. The reason there's not a minmode one is because I tried to make it and determined it was too small to be readable.

rayshud v2015.8.27 has been released!

This update should fix all the trade up contract bugs, as well as fix a few other issues that have been bugging me for awhile. Nothing too special, but you should be able to use trade up on my HUD with no issues now.

NOTE: This update does not have support for the new PASS time game mode. This is because its still in beta and constantly is changing (including the HUD used for it). Once it's removed from a beta state and is more finalized, I'll add a prettier looking UI for it assuming there's enough interest.

This version includes the following changes:

- Fixed the scoreboard to prevent ping from being cut off at 4x3 resolutions.
- Fixed the scoreboard colors changing to a lime green on a stats panel.
- Fixed the item inspect panel getting cut off on the right hand side in kill-cams.
- Added new items to the promotional cycle on the main menu.

You can download the update here:

#19 Youtube trying to make its own version of twitch in Off Topic

Also I don't think it's been mentioned in this thread yet, but it has live content ID checking for streams. If your stream is flagged for playing copyrighted music/material by their system you'll be notified mid-stream, and, if you choose to not do anything about it, will promptly have your channel blocked until the copyrighted material/music is no longer present.

YouTube's automated copyright enforcer, Content ID, is always a hot button issue for YouTube's creators. On YouTube Gaming, the system will be active, in real time, on livestreams. If copyrighted content is detected during a live stream, the dashboard will show a warning, and streamers will have a set time period to stop the music. If users ignore the warning, the stream will be blocked until the system detects the copyrighted content has stopped.

#12 discord.gg in Off Topic
miwoI've been using it for about a half hour, the web interface is actually really decent right out of the box with no setup.

They also have an API -- probably something for the tf2center / tf2 web pug systems to look into!

Yeah, apparently there have been rumors that they'll be working with Twitch / Night (BetterTTV) / sirstendec (FrankerFaceZ) to have integration with subs/mods on Twitch channels so that it'll be easy for someone to have a sub/mod server for their stream in the future, which is pretty cool too.

#1 discord.gg in Off Topic

Hey all,

I didn't see a thread on this (sorry if there already is one!) and I've been hearing a lot about it lately so I figured I'd throw up a thread here on TF.TV so people can check it out and give their opinions.

discord.gg is apparently the newest VoIP client to hit the market. It boasts a rich text chat (with the ability to add text channels to a server) as well as voice channels for people to communicate with one another. It's browser-based, but has a standalone client, and claims it minimizes CPU usage to boost FPS, has low latency for comms in games, and has DDoS and IP protection.

It's time to ditch Skype and TeamSpeak. Discord is here.

All-in-one voice and text chat for gamers that’s free, secure, and works on both your desktop and phone. Stop paying for TeamSpeak servers and hassling with Skype. Simplify your life.

You'll never go back.

I don't know if it'd be a viable mumble replacement or not, but I figured I'd get the word out so people could mess around with it on their own and post their findings.

#29 SGDQ 2015 in Other Games

Event starts this Sunday at 1pm edt! I'll be leaving on Saturday and tweeting about the trip + uploading things to my YouTube if anyone is curious!

I'll be hosting the event on my Twitch channel the whole week as well, so if you guys want to have a place outside of the main chat to discuss the event please feel free to stop by and invite others to come as well. The more people chilling in there, the better.

To anyone else who's going, when are you guys getting in? It'd be cool to meet up with some TF2 people and grab lunch or something at some point!

#6 Medic LFT mid/high open S20 in Recruitment (looking for team)

Played with him a bit back when I was active.

He's very hard on himself but is actually a very solid medic and is super dedicated to the class. Cool to see him finally trying to make the jump to ESEA, as I think that with a group of others as dedicated to the game as him he could go far. His gamesense was constantly improving when I played with him (which was over a year ago), and he was one of the few people I played with who actually committed to a call, regardless of the outcome. If your team needs a strong maincaller, definitely worth giving Cassius a look.

Best of luck, bud. :>

There's a "toggle scoreboard" button on the main menu that handles the switching of the scoreboards. 16v16 is included in all HUDs, regardless of the type.

rayshud v2015.7.12 has been released!

This update was pretty long overdue after my initial Gun Mettle release, so sorry for getting it out so late! This should fix most of the issues that people had with the original patch I put out.

That being said, I didn't have time to test the player-based ready system (as I edited it by myself), so there might be some weird errors when people are on different teams. If that's the case, please let me know so I can fix it!

This version includes the following changes:

- Fixed the scoreboard to prevent ping from being cut off at lower resolutions.
- Updated the backpack and loadout panels to show proper item quality colors.
- Added in support for matchmaking (menus) upon its release.
- Updated the mouse-over item panels to have a solid gray background instead of the original TF2 gradient.
- Updated the collection mouse-over item panels to reflect the proper collection item/rarity when in the backpack or loadout screens.
- Removed an unnecessary space in the class selection screen to help maintain consistency.
- Added in support for the player-based ready system when in tournament mode.
- Added in player names above the health meters when in spectate mode.
- Changed the HUD version system a final time (updated it so that the new format is "vYYYY.MM.DD" for means of consistency with other version systems).

#25 SGDQ 2015 in Other Games

Sorry to keep bumping this thread, but there was a slight adjustment to the schedule. Some runs were dropped as all runners are beginning to finalize their plans for the event. If your favorite game wasn't on there, maybe give it another glance over in the next few days as there's a chance some other runs might be added!

#4 mouse mode not selecting players in Customization
f_blueIt works in the default scoreboard. I don't know why it doesn't work in custom scoreboards.

For me it was equally buggy on both custom scoreboards and the default scoreboard, however the times in which it were buggy was seemingly random. Some times it would work perfectly fine on both, and then there were some instances where I could only click on a specific player or none at all on both. Unless I was an edge case, I'd say that the interactive scoreboard as a whole is something on Valve's end that will have to be refined.
