#29 Team Fortress 2 Welcomes Linux in TF2 General Discussion
VirulenceLinux is cool and all, don't get me wrong, but does TF2 for Linux benefit Valve even more than competitive support?

Yes. Steam Box is going to be running Linux, so it makes sense for them to release Steam and various games for the operating system.

#20 Team Fortress 2 Welcomes Linux in TF2 General Discussion

I've been waiting for a Tux promo since rumours of TF2 on Linux. So excited!

[edit] Though I am a bit disappointed that it is not a hat.

#428 my new hud. in Customization
rangavery small thing, but some letters and numbers get cut out, like the 5 on my health, or 'waiting for players' up top. this is only with certain numbers, and reinstalling hud completely doesn't fix this.

any suggestions?

desktop resolution is 1920x1200 but i play windowed at 1680x1050

I wish I could help you out here, but I honestly can't. This has affected a few people in the past, but it's seemingly random and I have no idea what causes it. TF2 just doesn't seem to like the font very much.

#123 Best album of all time? in Off Topic

At the moment, I'd probably say my favourite album is this:

#1 24-hour clock. in Site Discussion

While the time zone preferences are a great addition and much appreciated, it would be nice if we can also have a choice between 12-hour and 24-hour time.

#8 how to import the broesel dot into a different hud in TF2 General Discussion
broeselompompThe process is the same regardless of HUD.
No.

Yes. The process is still the same, even if you have unusual formatting.

AnarchyAs I said i understand how to do it but it seems different with the files from broesel hud you cant quite do it the same way you do it with other hud crosshairs, but thanks for the help anyway.ompThe process is the same regardless of HUD.

The process is the same regardless of HUD. The real problem here is that you do not enjoy thinking and expect everything to be done for you, as is evident by your previous threads and questions.

FzeroWhy would a person drink whiskey straight when scotch is so much better to drink (non blended)

This makes no sense?

#26 VanillaTV spectator hud in TF2 General Discussion
SalamancerHaven't talked to enigma or anyone about this, but if TFTV did develop a new spec HUD, I'd say go ahead and release it to the public for a nominal fee. Like, a 99 cent download from this site. Proceeds go to the HUD devs.

At the moment, a casting branch of my HUD is being used, with some minor edits to make it a bit more cast-friendly. There are many more changes Lange and I have discussed, but I've been busy so I'm not sure when I'll get around to them. However, under no circumstances will this be exclusively for TF.tv.

If somebody wants to create a HUD better suited to casting, please go ahead; I might even be willing to help out with some things. You should probably talk to Lange before you put any serious work into it, as there are certain things he's looking for.

Kirkm"enabled" "0"

Change that to a 1.

KirkmI'm not sure is this is related to the HUD, but you know everything so when I start tf2 in console it says
ERROR Memory corruption: CDmxElement::UnpackIntoStructure memcpy buffer overrun!
in red and repeats like 100 times.

I'm not sure what is causing that error and it doesn't seem HUD-related, but I seem to be having it too. In either case, I wouldn't worry about it as long as your game works fine.

If you'd like some more information, memcpy is the name of a function in the C programming language that copies a block of data from one memory location to another. If the destination block is smaller than the source block, it will result in a buffer overrun.

KirkmI tried redownloading the hud and it solved the error. It didn't solve the color problem, though. I do also use the fighter pilot crosshair from chriztahfah's hud.

Can you post the block containing the crosshair? (after making any colour changes you want, even if they don't work.)

Not "negative". 0<x<1 is NOT NEGATIVE.
YOU MEAN TO SAY >1.
HOW HARD CAN IT BE ASAFGHRT

If you insist on being pedantic, you can think of it as a kill-death differential and not a ratio, in which case the terms negative and positive make perfect sense.
