#485 my new hud. in Customization
Puke-N-SnotHit crosshairs & Low ammo indicators, stooped working for me after this latest patch.

I did a re-load of my files but if I use the edited ones ( uncomment the lines matching your crosshair under the DamagedPlayer & find the HudLowAmmoPulse and HudLowAmmoPulseStop events in scripts/HudAnimations_tf.txt and uncomment the relevant lines by removing the leading forward slashes.) the cross hairs doesn't do anything on player damage & no ammo count shows @ all

You've made a mistake somewhere.

marqueePerhaps there's another free version of futura that you could use?

That's the idea. Either another version or a similar alternative.

f_blueSuggestion: Integrate INsane’s net_graph modification (smaller font/width). See http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/6326

It will be in the next broeselHUD version, maybe you like it as well :)

Not going to incorporate this. You'll have to do it on your own if you want it.

TheSauceBossquick question, which file shows the spectator health/name? The health and name aren't showing up for me when i spectate people.

Knowing the answer to this question is not going to fix your problem. However, changing your spectator target id location to the default might. (It's in the advanced options menu.)

I am no longer providing support in this thread. Go to the GitHub issue tracker if you have an issue, suggestion or question.

TechniikHow would I go about fixing that?

Your text editor is the problem. Use something else.

JDMYoshiokaAnyway to fix this ping? The resolution is 1280X600.

Blame TF2 for being inconsistent.

Try making the highlighted value smaller: https://github.com/omp/tf2hud/blob/master/resource/ui/ScoreBoard.res#L17

Roololhow would I remove the cross that goes over my health when im overhealed?

If you want to remove the bonus cross entirely, you can just move it off-screen by changing xpos/ypos of the highlighted element (change them to a value such as 9999): https://github.com/omp/tf2hud/blob/master/resource/ui/HudPlayerHealth.res#L59

Note that this will also remove the red cross when you are low on health. If you want to remove it only for overheal, you'll have to mess with the animations. I think you can remove (or comment out) the top two animate lines in the highlighted event: https://github.com/omp/tf2hud/blob/master/scripts/HudAnimations_tf.txt#L205

SilkThreadhey omp do you know how I could move the classes pictures from the custom main menu so that they're not visible? thanks in advance.

If you don't want to mess with custom models as previously suggested, you can also do it by making a change in the menu file. Simply change xpos and ypos of TFCharacterImage to 9999.

https://github.com/omp/tf2hud/blob/master/resource/ui/MainMenuOverride.res#L186
(Lines 190 and 191.)

marqueeI seem to be having problems in Windows 8 with the fonts positioning. The ammo reserve shifts upwards and clips at the bottom of the clip, and the target/spectator ID health values shift downwards and clips. Is this just a problem with Windows 8 and the font? I'm not having issues with any other HUDs as far as I know.

To be honest, I have no idea. It's certainly a possibility. Font rendering on TF2 seems to be a major pain in the ass and I'm not sure how to deal with it; it feels like each platform has its own issues and it never works as it should.

I think I might have to find a font that's less problematic.

nightwatchWith the latest update my net_graph is not displaying any words, just the coloured bars. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so is there a fix?

I don't think this is related to custom HUDs.

Puke-N-SnotUse & like this HUD. Decided the other day to try some of the options like Hit Crosshairs & Low ammo indicators. Hit crosshairs are working as should but not noticing anything on the Low ammo indicators?

Most likely explanation is that you've made a mistake somewhere.

https://github.com/omp/tf2hud/blob/master/scripts/HudAnimations_tf.txt#L262

Did you remove the // from lines 267-274 and and 290-292?

In any case, I won't have TF2 for some time, so I cannot verify anything.

#9 Last Damage Indicator in Q/A Help

If I recall correctly, the behaviour changed in the Christmas update. Basically, instead of remaining permanently, the last-damage-done disappears at the same time as the floating damage text. Of course, you can change the length of this, but the floating damage numbers will also stick around longer.

I'm not sure if Valve inadvertently broke this, or if it was an intended change. To my knowledge, there is no workaround, but I could be wrong.

The archival tool shouldn't make a difference.

I believe the problem is Notepad not handling the newline characters properly. Try an editor that's not complete shit.

LKincheloeThey broke huds... AGAIN

No, they did not. Requiring a reinstall is hardly breaking anything; it's just an annoyance caused by how Steam handles local files.

AoshimaAlso, is it true Australia might be there? Because I've all got myself some patriotism there.

Nothing concrete as of yet, but it seems to be a possibility.

frownyI'm using Arch, and for some reason the HUD is not using the right font, but instead using some generic one, any ideas?

Now that I'm also on Arch, I've come up with a semi-fix: http://rawr.am/tf2hud/ClientScheme.res

Using that ClientScheme file should make it use the right font and fix any HUD crosshairs. However, I haven't been able to get it to use the heavy weight, so health/ammo/etc. will not be bold, unfortunately.

#9 What music do you listen to while you play? in TF2 General Discussion

I usually don't listen to music when I'm playing, but when I do, it's the same music that I generally listen to.

As of late, that's mostly been stuff like this:
