FozzlmDiscordCould you specify who you guys have invited to attend, just admins of leagues or also players?
Well by Mitch's own admission, ozfortress aren't invited to the cool kids table for this meeting when ETF2L are :(
Why is this directed at me? The leagues chose not to invite ozfortress cause we didn't think they would be intending to run a league.
DiscordMitch_Hi, there is already a global organisation of the current leagues in NA, we're actually having our meeting to discuss these issues tonight. Is this being streamed or just in secret? Also is it pretty much orgs attending the meeting, or players as well?
UGC, RGL, TFCL, ESL, ESEA and ETF2L will be attending and we hope to provide some information to people soon.
At the moment this meeting will be private, there are many sensitive (unconfirmed) topics we're discussing. But we hope to make a thread announcing the results of the meeting and a poll collecting some data from players.

Edit: TFTV's new league is also in attendance.
CappingTV is pleased to announce that we have secured a fantastic venue for this year’s LAN Downunder. The LAN will be taking place at Genesis Internet Café at 15 Sutherland Street in Melbourne CBD. (Please note, there are two different stores with the same name.) The venue is a 10 minute walk from Flinders Street station, and 3 minutes from Melbourne Central station.
Signups for those wishing to compete are now open, teams of all skill levels are welcome! Signups will be open until the 22nd June. It will cost $60 to attend for the two days, or $2 to spectate. Those playing will have the use of one PC for the duration of the LAN. If you are looking for a team or players to join your team then check the respective channels in The LAN Downunder 2019 Discord.
We are currently working with multiple sponsors to secure the best prize pool possible for the LAN. For this reason, the prize pool is still to be decided. Information regarding sponsorships will be announced when appropriate.
Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you at the LAN Downunder 2019!
SIGNUPS ARE NOW OPEN HERE!

I thought I might post the short trailer that nick made for us:

Hopefully next year we can make arrangements for some international teams to come Downunder, but for the time being, we're just happy that Australia now has their LAN back!

ESL has launched the new Monthly Challenge! The Monthly Challenge cup series has one cup each week, where you can get points to qualify for the Monthly Finals. Play every Sunday to make your chances for the Monthly finals better and better. Every win matters!
This cup will start Sunday 28th of April at 4pm CEST and will continue throughout the night.
This month we will be running on three cups due to the Easter Break.

Format
Thanks to everyone's feedback Monthly Challenge cups will be using the Swiss system for the qualifiers, which is a mix of both SE and DE but also has its cons. You're eliminated after 2 losses. You will play every round with a similar skill leveled opponent to yours. The team with the most wins at the end of the cup will be crowned winner. This is good for time periods (cup takes ~4.5-6h with 17+ teams) but doesn't have a grandfinal unlike the above two - More details here: https://play.eslgaming.com/swiss-cup-faq
The Monthly Final will be played as a single elimination bracket with the top eight teams from the previous weeks, with the winner of each month taking home the prestigious ESL medal!
Other Regions and staff
I have been working on getting more regions supported by ESL. This however has been a challenge as ESL cannot take any staff from US due to laws over there. If you live elsewhere and are interested in volunteering as an ESL Referee, we are now taking applications! Apply here if you're interested.
For people new to ESL Play, here's a quick guide on how to signup to the cup: https://play.eslgaming.com/guide.
Live support will be provided during the event via this Discord: https://discord.gg/ESLTF2
Signups are now open on ESL Play!
DiscordThey've said stuff like this before, and haven't followed up. Also I don't think they would be allowed to play invite, it would probably in fact make it much worse
this is the final season though, I feel it's a bit different.
HuggesMitch_Tino_rather than listen to the invite Illuminati that literally wont exist in 3 months.funny enough its being scheduled for next week!
All of the league organizers, UGC, RGL, TFCL, ESL, ESEA and more will be meeting up to discuss our plans to make sure the future of NA TF2 doesn't get ruined.
what have we done to deserve you
I now work in three regions for four different organisations. Please help, and send coffee. (Also by the way without you guys and the rest of the community this could've gone very differently, so thanks everyone.)
I would like to add onto what bleghfarec said in relationship to ESL owning ESEA.This is a misconception that was made by media. Turtle Entertainment owns ESL and ESEA, not ESL owning ESEA. I can't simply go and administrate TF2 at ESEA, neither can my manager or his manager. We are two seperate running entities.

ComangliaJust noticed...
Can we please get a different color for Mitch and ESL? This is way to hard to read...
https://i.imgur.com/jG5O7fv.png
our colours are very... vibrant at the moment.
What I'm hoping ESL can offer is around the same sort of structure to what ESEA was running, we're chatting at the moment about how viable it is for us to run this.
We need a strong supporting from the community to do it.
Our main issue however is our administration team. If you're uneducated on us, ESL is the world's largest esports company, based in Europe. To employ any US resident it costs us a lot cause they can't legally volunteer, they must be paid for their work. Hence why tri was the only ESEA TF2 admin. Our only solution to this is to hire people from Canada, South America or elsewhere.
We will make a PSA in a few days asking for feedback and getting an idea of what we can do for the NA community.
whyygive us some info @Mitch_ im curious
As I said in the original post, stay tuned to TFTV for further announcements. I literally woke up an hour ago to this so we're all pretty shaken.
