I would like to test all these recently posted novel launch options all together or a selected bunch of them, but there seems to be a limit in the number of characters i can use on the input box on steam ,the limit still exists outside Steam I mean when trying to create a shortuct using steam.exe -applaunch X as target shortcut through desktop , Does anyone a workaround or a way to deal with it ? Thx in advance.
Maybe you can use cmd to run steam.exe -applaunch.
maniacalwhenever i press a key to move, tf2 crashes. i've never had this issue before. i'm using the maxperformance along with the main config, not sure if that helps.
Is this in a local or online game? Does it happen when you use comp or no presets?

sagehow would that launch opttion make TF2 "emulate" open GL anyway? is there more info on that command? openGL only seems to be allowed in linux for source games so idk - even tho it still shows mat_dxlevel on console when u run games on linux
Well, it launches with the title "Team Fortress 2 - OpenGL" so we know it at least does something. And people using NVidia cards at least have seen a few frames increase.

I would say it's slightly. I think lighting, shadow quality and antialiasing have the biggest improvements oveer it.
osvaldoI've read that setting the -high launch option can potentially introduce input lag ... Have you tested that and if so, could you confirm that it's just fine to have it in there ?

Where did you read this? -high is not going to make TF2 have higher priority than OS level tasks like input. I actually get more responsiveness and very slightly better FPS on my i7-870, but I won't say that it's good for every CPU.

I don't think dxlevel can be used with r_emulate_gl.
Also, did your paste get cut off? "-snoforceform" should be "-snoforceformat"

4.4.0 released with probably huge performance enhancements and particle reduction.
Also, could people test dsp_off 1 in a bot match and see how they like the sound quality/spatialization?
EDIT: 4.4.1 released with a few comment updates and cleanup.
EDIT 2: 4.4.2 released with a few improvements to post processing settings and characters.
EDIT 3: 4.4.3 released with a few bug fixes, maxperformance optimizations as well as some optimizations ported to dx8 (still not recommended for most users).
