Try setting your resolution in video settings rather than using launch options.

I haven't been playing for a couple of months, so I'm not really up to date with TF2 and masterconfig in particular. I noticed, that on the website in the addons section the "no extra models" addon is not there as it used to be. Is there a particular reason for it?

You probably have -dxlevel in your launch options, which resets many video settings.
