Is this with pvp? That's when I used to play, ~1yr before it was removed. I probably won't get back into this game because it's not that fun to me.

I think you need room for another TF2 basically. I think it copy/pastes everything (while putting some stuff in different directories) and then deletes the old copy. I might be wrong, but I believe this is what I read. TF2 is over 10GB IIRC.
All I had to do was restart TF2
I was drinking heavily with a friend one night and out of nowhere I told him, "if you ever see be smoking or about to, slap the shit out of me." Well, out of my mind since I had been drinking, I notice his pack of cigarattes on a stand near his bed and asked if I could have one. He said yes and, of course, forgot to slap me (I was being serious about it) and tell me to never start smoking. I ended up smoking his entire pack within a few hours.
I woke up not remembering I had smoked but I also woke up really wanting one and from then on I started smoking. For the first year I really only smoked a pack every 2-3 weeks. This was because my mom didn't know and I wanted to keep it that way. Eventually she found out and was okay with it (as much as she could be) and now I smoke around half a pack a day.
I mainly smoke because it keeps my stress free and keeps me busy and stops me from thinking about everything all the time. It's rough, but the effects of smoking are rougher, though for some reason that doesn't seem to overshadow why I smoke in the first place.
Being a smoker sucks when you don't have money, I should probably quit.
"We Need to Talk About Kevin"
this is probably the best title for a "scary/mindfuck" movie

I have written a ton of stuff already today. I'd appreciate it if you went over it and possibly suggested any changes I could make to it, whether it's something I left out (only stuff that fits in with what I've written so far, because I've clearly left out 99% of the stuff I haven't written yet) or whether it's something that needs to be rewritten. Whatever it is, if there's something, let me know.
edit: I'm done writing on this guide for right now, but I'll prob work more on this later today. A couple of people have permission to write/edit, so that might happen. If anyone legitimately wants to help with the writing/editing, post your gmail here or to me on Steam and I'll add you to the list.
IF YOU’RE INTERESTED IN HELPING WRITE THIS GUIDE, PLEASE CONTACT LAMEFX VIA STEAM - http://steamcommunity.com/id/lamefx

Right this moment I am currently working on the guide, so if anyone wants to hop in and watch/assist, let me know.
I'll take a look on how to make a wiki about this. I'm not too sure on how to do that.
In the mean time, anyone who wants to help edit this and has a Google account, add me on Steam and send me your Gmail and I'll add it to the list of people who can edit this. I would make it public for editing, but I don't want to chance people randomly messing with it in a negative way.
edit: And yes, I'll edit and add in already made guides into this one. I just need to figure out how I want this guide to be structured (what goes where) and then I'll start on that.
If someone would like to help me structure this, let me know.
I was wondering, should I have this be a 9v9 and 6v6 guide, or just 6v6? I understand that having a guide for both 9v9 and 6v6 is better than just a guide for 6v6, but I know nothing about highlander. So if you guys think this should be a guide for both, I'll be more than happy to appoint a group of people to work on the entire highlander sections for me.
LazyPandaOk so it seems like we have multiple people writing the same thing without any help from each other. Why don't you just suck it up and get together with these other people to write an updated guide. That way you get lots of opinions and can write one great guide that encompasses everything and is extremely helpful as opposed to multiple good guides. Take all the help you can get, take stalin's ODT, look at other guides and borrow some of the content, if you want to write this all yourself it will be near impossible.
My plan was to make this a large guide that goes over a lot of things. It's not gonna just be a 3 page document or anything.
gr8stalinDo you want the entire .odt I made back in 2011 when Gotfrag and places like CommunityFortress and MyGamingEdge were still things? As long as you credit War for at least half of the information, it's yours. It'll save you a lot of hassle and you can edit what you need to in order to bring it up to speed.
I'll think about it. It might be a good idea. I'll let you know if I decide to.
FearWhat's going on with the guide that will be going in the guide tab?
Don't know, taking too long. For now we have this, and maybe it will be the permanent guide. Who knows?
OblivionageUh i can't edit it. Is it just me?
It's like that on purpose. I'll be the one doing all of the writing :)
Just post any suggestions here on what should go in, be taken out, changed, etc. and I'll get right on it when I can.
Hey, so after reading the "Future of Competitive TF2" thread, I took it upon myself to create a Competitive TF2 guide for people interested in joining the community + becoming a competitive player, and for the people who are already in the comp. scene but are new and want to learn.
I don't have much right now, but I will continuously work on it until I feel it's absolutely complete.

You can view + comment on the document with the link above. I absolutely will take any advice on what I could put in it or change. I plan on doing things such as what websites are essential to the community, how to find what class you should play, how to play maps, how to connect to IRC, etc. It's gonna be big.
I would also like help from anyone who knows how to make pictures (drawing or whatever) that I can use for different sections of the document.
Thanks!
