#2 Setting up a server in Q/A Help

you'll want to install sourcemod plugins on it to get the desired effects and setup a server.cfg with settings that you wanna exec on every map change ideally

DuMmTmB4nny mains scout...

plz lets not turn into reddit when pyro was nerfed

the fact that dds wasn't nerfed makes me think they're balancing for mm/low-level shit (since sniper isn't as big of an issue there). which is exactly how you dont balance a competitive game

#1 New EU pub server in TF2 General Discussion

So since valve decided to push people towards community servers for drop-in/drop-out gameplay i thought i'd finish setting mine up, it's a similar concept to this

185.45.192.206:27015 (hosted in Amsterdam)

  • no ads/bloat
  • no crits/damage spread
  • current maplist (can extend if people want more maps)
  • current whitelist (pretty minimal, only the super broken/annoying stuff is banned. toying with the idea of banning shields)
  • 24 max players (should be enough for focused action since the quality of players will be better than quickplay without the clusterfuck of 32) & class limits
  • you get a cooldown in pugs for a week if you leave ever

probs gonna have to post on reddit to keep the player count up but we'll see

The Righteous Bison
Fixed a bug causing players to be hit by the same projectile multiple times, causing the damage dealt to vary wildly
As a Soldier, the Righteous Bison can hit the same enemy multiple times, and will hit the most times on enemies who are moving away from the projectile. Use it to punish retreating enemies!

TangyyI seriously doubt they will still be restricting options like net_graph and brightness, they are not complete idiots.

They probably had them restricted just to reduce the amount of things that could cause a possible bug during the beta.

I mean come on, use your common sense.

that's not how you use a beta...
