Actually with the issue I had the ping counter would just freeze, probably cause any packets sent during that stutter drop and aren't retried by the game nor any intermediate router/hub

while it's not the premium lan you'd expect off dota/cs an online tourney relieves them of all the major costs/headaches of lans. $20k is simultaneously nothing compared to what valve makes and i'd wager could probably come from tf2's earnings itself without requiring other investments while also being the biggest prize pool in the game's history.

official endorsement/investment of community 6s by valve would make many more players interested in high level comp

try running the command

"ping -t www.google.com"

if you're on windows. ive seen this issue before if you're on wifi, where basically no packets transfer for a fraction of a second every few seconds and all action in game stops. if that sounds like what you're having, you should be able to catch them with that ping command. note that it pings every second so it'll likely take a few cycles to catch it, and you should be able to see a spike to 200ms. net_graph 3/4 should also show a fat hole in the graph too i think

consider that stabby's sens/fov zoom script is perfectly allowed, the ugc rules on custom stuff like that is pretty lenient

you just gotta play slower and more carefully. be constantly aware of the sniper and its fine to push the way obviously out of the sniper's sightline (unless their combo is close some other place). pressure flank more and maybe rotate heals there to get a pick. otherwise make sure to not let their sniper get in too far by spamming entrances when you have to hold far back

im looking for chill games i can play while watching twitch or something

something like hearthstone (or other online ccgs) works but im looking for stuff like a turn-based strategy or some kind of single player rts without time pressure (e.g. factoryidle.com). something else that could work might be you must build a boat where runs aren't particularly pressured and take a min or two, plus i love the stats/upgrade climb in games like that

idk why the game makes you wait so much to play now

wait for a queue, wait a minute for warmup, then wait another 10 secs for a pointless countdown. plus setup time. rounds are usually rolls in 5 mins (objective wise, not that every game ends in spawn camping) and then you get dumped back to the main menu. it makes me actually hate playing casual

there's gamesense/comm-listening involved in knowing that only light classes are up and they're gonna be near the point

but other than that not so much
