I don't think anyone here is gonna proudly admit they went to community college. I didn't spend any of my time there socializing, it was pretty depressing.
ya but you dont have 100k in student loans which is also pretty cool.
financially 2 years of CC is a great idea it's a shame there's such a stigma against it
went to CC for free for 2 years it was p fun. Still can be not the greatest if you go to a 4 year after though. I had credits not transfer and they basically told me they thought I was going to fail the rest of undergrad because the admissions people think CC is terrible but I did fine this semester so they might just be wrong. Big thing is make sure all your credits transfer and transfer correctly. English 102 at my CC was covered by AP Lit but 102 at UAB is covered by AP Lang, so I have two 101 credits and have to pay to take 102. Second advice: time when you transfer and plan around doing as good as possible for the first semester or two to get scholarship GPA money. Like don't transfer in for a bio degree without having taken Anatomy, even if it means you have to take English 102 or Biology 1 or something stupid. My GPA (3.95->3.8) dropped a bit because I took Bio 2 (weed out course here) at Uni instead of at CC where I could've gotten an A way easier
Also dont go to University for "the life" people here are just as stupid as they were in CC but because they'll be doctors instead of nurses they have horrible attitudes about life
