#34 A song for the Combo in Off Topic

Where did you guys record this? Did you go to a studio and pay or do one of you have your own recording setup?

The mix is really well done. The compression on the vocals and their mix with the instruments is all really well done. Good mastering too. Either you guys have some hookups or you spent some serious dough on recording time.

Either way, great job, awesome stuff!

I'm trying to come up with a solution but my brain is overloaded with all of the information and details you've given.

#16 Farewell in TF2 General Discussion

The trick is to not over stress in a given time frame. The exercise ball in my previou post is great because you can easily control the intensity of the resistance. You can just have it going while doing other tasks. A little bit here and there.

#14 Farewell in TF2 General Discussion

Just thought I'd share this. I know this isn't gonna change your mind but for what it's worth :

these things are popular amongst rock climbers. I found they are also great for gamers. Plus, they're actually a ton of fun.

Edit: here's a video to show exactly what it does. I think this guys technique is pretty noobish but it gets the idea across. It works more than the muscles in your forearm; using different techniques, it uses your wrist and even the ligaments/tendons in your fingers.

#113 ESEA Vote for New Map in TF2 General Discussion
mustardoverlordcp_ashville is still the worst map ever made

I remember my first team, and our first season of Open, when cp_ashville was in the rotation. The week before we loaded the map in our server, and we all joined up to do a walkthrough of the map, and give names to all the major locations in the map.

It was a nightmare, because of how gigantic the map was. It was definitely a test of our creative abilities trying to come up with unique names for all the vastness of that map.

#1 Anyone use handbrake converter? in Off Topic

handbrake

Usually when I'm ready to encode my tf2 movies from AVI to mp4, I use easy h264. I'm thinking about trying this app out though. Looks really useful for other things, yet is still simple.

#76 August 27 TF2 Update in TF2 General Discussion
atmoThufirWhy does my HUD think I'm always a Red Scout now?class_scoutred is the default class image in the HUD which is supposed to be switched automatically by the game depending on what class you join ... guess the game isn't switching it any more.

https://github.com/delihud/delihud/blob/master/normal/resource/ui/HudPlayerClass.res see "PlayerStatusClassImage"

So what are we supposed to do to fix this? When playing spy, no matter what class I disguise as, the image is a scout. The weapons that the image says correspond correctly to the class I'm disguised as, but the image is always a scout.

#6 dipHUD in Customization

It's not that I have trouble reading it, it just doesn't look that "clean." I'm not saying you should swap the hp cross with a numberical value only, rather just make the numerical value inside the hp cross a little bit easier to read.

I'll use my version of broeselhud as an example. I know it's a different hud, and I'm not trying to say it's a better hud than yours. I'm just using it as an example.

Notice how the health value in the hp cross is neither too big, nor too small, and the numbers are aligned vertically and horizontally. It just looks nice.

Looks pretty neat. Upon a quick glance at the screenshots, I recommend cleaning up the font for your health value, the one inside the hp cross.

Am I the only person who likes metalworks? There a few things about it that aren't perfect, but metalworks isn't the only map without its share of that.

#14 to the person who owns the tf.tv DM servers in TF2 General Discussion

The crates on turbine don't really bother me because they aren't high enough to abuse without much consequence.

Granary though, I see soldiers and demos sitting up on those huge high crates in DM, and that bothers me.
