Saberi feel really shitty whenever i get taunted in mge, i mean, like, it's not like i'm there to get BETTER or anything, right? so thanks for making fun of my concerted effort to improve

I used to feel just like you. Honestly I did.

But at some point I my concerted effort nothing more than caring as little as possible when people do things like that. I knew thatif I didn't, I would eventually come to (or continue to) another angry mge asshole. I knew that I would just hate playing and would generally not have a good time when playing mge.

Too many times did someone on an alt play as gay as possible and taunt at the end when they beat me. I just decided to stop caring. Since then I've been much happier while playing, and to me, it's made a difference.

d_bi think everyone gets at least a little mad at mge sometimes theres no need to call people out on it

But when someone draws first blood it's so tempting and also so easy to drink the Kool aid.

boppetNot gonna lie, Relic as whippy was a cunt to less skilled players. Earlier in the year he started counterjumping when he played me because it was like 18-2 then said

"You're not bad"

"You're fucking horrid." Then he left.

y mayne

I beat him once in no splash or endif, I thin it was endif. He completely flipped the fuck out and was saying things like "i've been 20-1'ing crespi for years and he thinks because he beats me one time he can taunt? fuck that faggot man" - that's a paraphrase of what he was saying. I honestly felt bad because he was going on about how disrespectful that is, so I tried to add him and tell him I was just fucking around, and the fact that he always shits on me is the reason I taunted - because it's "ironic." Not because I actually think i'm suddenly good and "deserve to taunt"

He wouldn't accept my friend request, in fact he completely blocked all communication from me.

vanillaAny other reason? Didn't the opening episode feature her in red lingerie or something?

Well tbh I thought the show was pretty good until around the 4th season.

Who else watched the show "Alias" in part because of how hot Jennifer Garner is?

I'm game. Had to pay an extra months worth of premium just to play open grand finals just to get ddos'd. Might as well make something good of it.

actually when you're just trying to warmup and have fun and people are constantly following you around in mge and hounding you about everything it gets really aggravating, so playing when nobody knows you is far more relaxed.

I just want to take this opportunity to tell you that when I join you on ammomod, it's nothing like this. I like playing you in ammomod because you're a challenging opponent but you don't surf every rocket and you have really good movement. But it's not because I'm following you around trying to hound you or anything. You used to play a few games with me before you moved on but lately you only play one game and then remove. I know I'm bad and a waste of time probably but I wish you'd play me more.

#12 Teach me how to use a mouse in Hardware

This might sound silly but if you're serious about learning how to use a mouse, then I promise you one of the best ways to simply create and condition your muscle memory is surfing.

I often tell people they should try surfing because it forces you to test the limits of your mouse control, and the space available on your desktop on which you move your mouse.

It also forces you to air strafe properly.

Basically, your ability to surf is directly correlated to your ability to control your mouse. The more precise and smooth your mouse movement is, the better surfer you will be.

It's also less personal than mge. I'm not saying that surfing isn't frustrating at times, especially when learning the basics, but you can do it at your own pace. I find it a relaxing yet challenging way to spend time outside of scrims.

Here is the IP for susurfit - a surf server with beginner - intermediate difficulty maps. I recommend starting here. 66.151.244.243:27015

Also, if you've never surfed before and have no idea what to do. Just go to the server, and spectate people who seem like they know what they're doing. Type "!skeys" without quotes in your chat. This will show you the keys that the person you're watching is pressing. That is the best way to learn how to surf.

povohatifixit has great guides for disassembling MPBs. You can also order the required tools if you don't have them, like the torx drivers
http://www.ifixit.com/Device/MacBook_Pro
If your MBP is the late 2011 15" model, then this would be the correct guide
http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Replacing+MacBook+Pro+15-Inch+Unibody+Late+2011+Heat+Sink/7515/1

The ifixit guides are what pop up when you google what I said in my previous post.

But KAMO probably has no idea that this is the problem yet. He may or may not have ever done a computer repair like this before. That's why I gave him so much context and offered my help on steam if he chooses to go that path.

But going straight to an ifixit page with all these tools, schematics, and videos about doing surgery on an apple laptop can be overwhelming if you've never done something like this before :)

KAMOWhat's the difference between said "old" and "new" cfgs? I run Bootcamp on the same gen MBP under Windows and performance seems to keep getting worse even with current MaxFrames cfg in DX8. I ran DX9 Frames for a long time and prefer DX9 but as I said my rig's performance is steadily going down the tubes. Would be interested in what other MBP Bootcamp Windows 7 are using.

I'd be willing to bet that you're having the same exact issues that I was before I fixed my MBP.

MBP's come from the factory with a piss-poor application of thermal paste on the gpu and cpu cores. It's a common fact. If you want more documentation on this, simply search google using the keywords "2011 mbp thermal paste." You'll find several videos, discussions, forums etc all showing evidence of what over heating directly correlated to cpu and gpu temps.

My MBP's performance was steadily going down the tubes after a year of using it. For a while I though it was because of tf2 updates, but it was just a coincidence that the updates were happening around the time my performance was really starting to sink.

After a lot of research, trial and error, and much frustration, I finally noticed that my cpu was bottlenecking the shit out of itself every time I had tf2 running. I could alt+tab out of tf2, and my cpu's multiplier would jump back up to x31. As soon as I alt+tab back into tf2, the load of hl2.exe would force my cpu to go down to x8 to avoid overheating.

[TL;DR] This is a common issue and you have to apply a new coat of grease to your cpu and gpu core. See the thread I made a while back.

http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/8399/

and again, search google with the keywords: "2011 mbp thermal paste"

If you've never opened up your macbook pro and performed repairs like this before, feel free to add me on steam and I'll help you.

When I did this repair on my own MBP, I was nervous, as I had never done something like this on an Apple portable. With the right tools, research, patience, and caution, I fixed my MBP and made it run better than it did when it was new.

There have been at least 3 threads about playing tf2 on an Apple computer.

All of them ended with the consensus that installing windows via bootcamp is the absolute best option to get the maximum performance of your hardware to play tf2.

It's very simple. In OSX, go to applications - bootcamp assistant. Run the program, and it will walk you through the steps to install a windows partition. The only thing you need is a windows installation copy, and you can use a disk (the most reliable method) or you use an ISO on a usb stick or external storage device. So basically, if you have some sort of windows installation file available, you already have everything you need to do this, and boot camp assitant virtually does everything for you.

#4 Silver Medic looking for mentor in Mentoring

I added him a week or so ago. Already reviewed demos with him. No hard feels of course if you want to get more opinions though mixo. But the big thing is that his team needs to scrim more. I told him I'd like to sit in mumble during a scrim to hear comms but I don't think they've scrimmed since I added him.
