why does every thread get locked

i am noticing a trend where whatever mysterious TFTV mod/RGL admin crossover human just locks threads when they feel like it is starting to look bad for their poorly-run league. there was no reason the MAL thread should have been locked. there was legit one guy who posted the n word (then the post was removed and probably banned). just kinda sucks in general when whatever mod decides the thread is over arbitrarily when there would have been way more discussion on the topic. why does ire or louster or whoever get to decide when we get to stop talking about stuff on here? just seems incredibly dumb and suspicious.
edit: i thought about it more and it would almost seem like them locking the thread is a weird attempt to stop discussion about their objectively shitty admin decision to ban a black person for saying that word, since ire is an RGL admin and all. pretty cool that the invite admin also gets to control what people discuss on the only real open forum for TF2!
