something like hearthstone (or other online ccgs) works but im looking for stuff like a turn-based strategy or some kind of single player rts without time pressure (e.g. factoryidle.com). something else that could work might be you must build a boat where runs aren't particularly pressured and take a min or two, plus i love the stats/upgrade climb in games like that
any ideas?

it's fucking stupid, there are so many teams that could have taken up the last 2 spots in invite
old EVL wouldn't play because they couldn't get hassassin
megawac me off wouldn't play because they didn't think they could do well
dagger's team wouldn't play because they didn't think they could do well
froot's team wouldnt play because they couldnt find ways to pay and froot seems to be terrified of any serious match
8k wouldn't play because they were tired of not making playoffs and they couldnt find scouts
this is the real sign that tf2 is dying. not people leaving, people being unwilling to try to improve in the highest division
but for real mad props to alder's team for being willing to play you guys are the real heroes

I want to point out that nobody thinks a global whitelist is a bad thing, it's that this whitelist is actually just horseshit. I can't believe people actually think that because we unbanned a lot of things suddenly that valve will do what they should've already done to help the scene and the game. CW is right, if valve wanted to help the game, they should have done a LOT more during the MM beta. It's like honestly mind bending how delusional some people are being. It seems like they think making it so people don't want to play the game (because that's a pretty obvious and evident result) will help the scene because you think all of a sudden it means valve will give a crap?
It just doesn't making any sense to me.

Phoenix21lettoslin argues tf2 devs are better at balancing the game than anyone else, sure, just look at the last year of tf2 updates and unlock changes...he actually realized that he was wrong so he just said they are better at balancing weapons than he is, leaving it to the developers to realize what to do is wrong, but I think that directing all this attention to valve instead of the people who allowed the unlocks will create change, at the end if enough people raise their voices valve breaks under the pressure.
consider this: how long did it take us to get matchmaking?
Valve won't fix these weapons, this season or next season if at all.
