So it's 2 minutes times 2 per team = 8 minutes of paused games guaranteed for each map + the usual LAN delays?
Don't get me wrong timeouts are a great idea, especially for casters, but doesn't that make for a lot of dead time?
nothing guarentees that each team will actually use their pauses (or the full duration of them) and even in your hypothetical worst case scenario it's still not the worst thing in the world
esea allows you to pause for 5 mins each half (iirc) but that doesnt mean every game is delayed by 10 minutes due to arbitrary pauses
in the grand scheme of things 2 minute pauses are a non issue
also its not like the casters just get to take a time out for 2 minutes, they still have to keep talking about nothing for the duration of the pause
