smitty_Why do euros make a huge fucking deal about ping when there are literally players in invite that play with 80+ ping normally and a good amount of them are in the same county as the server.
Europe is very different to NA in terms of ping because the distances involved are generally very short so most players should have pretty decent ping but there are loads of routing issues so people have server preferences. I remember elacour and sorex would get 150 ping to some dutch/german servers and there are a lot of French servers Mon can't connect to at all.
In NA you're pretty much stuck with what you get because you don't have the option of ESEA servers in a different location and some people have much lower or much higher ping. If you had LA and NY servers in ESEA and teams could choose I imagine it would be a lot worse than EU even because the ping difference would be a lot more.
just setting sv_cheats 1 can also fix this for me weirdly.
The biggest advantage of using private music trackers is that some music doesn't exist anywhere else outside of $100 vinyls and youtube.
My inside sources tell me the drama is that muuki did not consult lowpander before telling the other team to take a default win because he was tired of uubers being stubborn. Uubers was insistent he didn't want to give in to a team with samski on it.

wow I can really see the resemblance!
rowpieceshey also there is an exploit on some maps (mostly koth i believe) where if you press onto the other teams spawn door and use your loadout bind you teleport to ur spawn lol
I think this is an oversight by the map maker where the spawn zone is set to both teams and clipped slightly outside the spawn door. Testing it, it works for koth_product_rc8 and koth_bagel_b4 (both spawn doors, both sides) and cp_reckoner_rc2 (both spawn doors, red last spawn only).
In theory I think you could also do this with your own forward spawn if the spawn zone is clipped outside of the forward spawn but I couldn't find any where it worked on all of the current competitive 5cp maps.

this guys paintings are p cool.
There was another exploit like this in the past which allowed you to bring up a texture editing window which would let you edit textures while playing the game. Pretty sure the command for that started with "showpanel" and I'd be willing to bet there's more of these. These all seem like the sort of commands that should require sv_cheats 1 in any case so its odd they're whitelisted.

Only thing I got very high on is being a heretic. Thats rly dumb fukc god lmao.
When I was 5 I jumped off a climbing frame and smacked my face into the side of another part of the climbing frame. A splinter of wood went through my upper lip and almost completely severed it. I was in complete shock and only started to feel pain a few hours later when I was already in the hospital. I think I'd even taken painkillers at that point but it was still some of the most intense pain I can remember.
tbh I think people really should have worked out by now that valve's business model has changed from a company that makes money from making games.
Valve worked really hard on titles that had great core gameplay and worked out a way to make them generate revenue with minimal effort through microtransactions (cosmetic/hat trading economies in all their games). They then fired a huge number of people in 2013. Their priority as a company isn't to work on games but just to maintain the self sustaining revenue sources that are their multiplayer games and steam. You don't need a huge number of employees to do this (a huge amount of the content that gets put into tf2 is community made) and dota is the only game they have where the dev team is as big as you'd expect for a game that size. The only reason that dota gets this treatment is because they make a big income from the esports side of the game compared to their trading.
I'm certain valve as a company have no real interest in making any meaningful changes to tf2 or any plans for it at all. Why take the gamble of hiring more people and pouring more money into a game that might not be a success anyway when you can just milk virtual hat sales for all they're worth and make more money?
Pushing out of and into last are really bad on badlands right now imo- the entrances into last are tiny chokes that can easily be denied by pyro/sentry/loose cannon or main which pushes you in through low ground. You also give up so much position to cap the point in a tiny enclosed area on low ground that the strategy of "push teams into spawn with position and play the cap" almost never works on badlands. You usually have to go for the kills and you normally have to uber really early so an advantage push normally won't get that many. Pushing out is also really bad because of all the flank routes in lobby people have previously mentioned. This normally means that most of the time on the map is spent with one team in lobby and the other on their last (a MUCH larger % of the time than happens on other maps) which is a shame because I really like the 2nd and mid.
This never seemed to be the case before the cap time change, but at the same time people have changed how they play so I don't know if that's the only issue with the last.
