It makes sense - all those favourite food and drinks threads from a few weeks back are to help sell gamer snacks, this thread is for gamer gloves, that shoe size thread on the sidebar at the moment is for... gamer shoes I guess (to be fair, stick the Razer logo and some colour-shifting LEDs on a pair of fuzzy slippers and call them the Brazillian Wandering Spider Chroma or w/e and I'm sure it'll make some dosh)

Being serious, I agree it's not worth writing anything off completely yet, good things could feasibly still come of this and it's worth waiting for more info, but this doesn't really feel like the best start for a new Quake game.

No primary or secondary, yes melee as said above, I don't mind viewmodels with the Original though. Shotgun and any non-Original rocket launcher I can't deal with them.

I do remember the first time I ever turned off viewmodels and almost immediately hit an airshot with the rocket jumper and wanted to delete local content immediately

I don't think it's about being offended as much as it is being bored of the sheer unoriginality of it. I'm literally diagnosed on the autistic spectrum (Aspergers) and I've never been offended by autism autistic autist and so on in my life. I do however get bored to death by how people use those words over and over and over as a substitute for actually thinking about what they're saying because it's easier to spout a bunch of taboo words and get a cheap reaction that way (if they even get a reaction at all with how desensitized most of the gaming community is to it by now) than to be genuinely witty.

Like, I'll admit I'm guilty of it myself sometimes among friends, I think almost everyone is, but I get the impression a lot of people just spam things like that indefinitely because they can't be bothered to think of anything else to say. It's just filler.

In reality though, I dislike 1hl in theory but for now find it necessary in practice. If the game was considerably better balanced around hero stacking I'd disagree wholeheartedly with 1hl but it's not and seeing the same double Reaper, double Winston, double McCree and so on dragged out every other game gets dull fast.

Fun sidenote - the announcement of this tournament got completely buried in PotG gifs and skin suggestions on the Overwatch subreddit. Don't think it even hit frontpage.

I'd love to see more maps with an indoor midpoint and a lot of indoor fighting but I think cp_well is a lost cause, I'd love to see someone try to make 5gorge_pro but I doubt it'd be any good no matter what you do to it

I would love Metalworks to death if it wasn't a night map but I can't stand night maps in TF2, something about them just doesn't sit right with me even though I don't mind them at all in other games

Just recently got my first mech so reds at the moment, as soon as I can find somewhere in the UK that sells PCB-mount switches cheap I'm gonna replace the spacebar with a black though - too little resistance for a giant-ass key that I'm constantly resting my thumb on for my tastes.

I know a guy who uses B for PTT and swears it's not at all uncomfortable for him to use space to jump while talking and using his thumb for both

Technically I also use 0 funnily enough, I use a Zowie mouse sidebutton remapped to 0 with AutoHotKey because having my mouse buttons go back or forward in Chrome every time I used my PTT got annoying

The one time I had to use the UGC website for anything because someone convinced me to roster up for their 4s team (that was my first mistake) I must've spent a good 10 minutes just ranting about how bad the web design was in Mumble

As long as you can hold your own in a debate you should do absolutely fine, even if you can't at the moment that's a skill that can be learned. I dunno how much philosophy you've studied prior to this, if any, but if it's a subject you're fairly new to then Plato's theory of Forms is something you'll want to make sure you've got as solid of a grasp on as you can.

mixup were the first team in TF2 that I was a big fan of and the team I was a fan of for the longest so on the random off chance that nobody claims it for some reason (as if lol) I'd definitely be willing to pay whatever shipping and customs would be needed to get it to the UK and probably frame that shit for eternity

Obviously though I'm sure someone way the fuck more deserving and much easier to ship to will want it, just throwing my hat in just in case
