#13 TF2 update for 11/3/15 (11/4/15 UTC) in TF2 General Discussion
indecencysombrezindecency- Performance optimizations- Updated pl_millstone_event:

- Performance optimizations

wtf :(

It sucks that it's not game-wide optimization but to be fair thats probably the worst of all the new maps when it comes to framerates

#12 Organization approaches TF2 teams for Overwatch in Off Topic
DeathyTwilitlordYe TS isn't new by any means, they had an NA Invite CS team a few months ago, and they sponsor Axe and Westballz in melee

It just really bothers me that orgs are trying to sponsor teams already when the beta hasn't even happened, let alone the full game. Like I understand tf2 is supposed to be similar to OW, but shouldn't you want a team that's proven good at OW?

From what I understand, the risk that the org aforementioned (Tempo Storm) is taking is not very big, with potential to give them a lot more than what they've risked, so even if the team/the game doesn't turn out to be successful, they wouldn't lose that much.

it's still a risk they're taking that could be severely mitigated by waiting at the very least a couple days until the beta releases, instead of reaching out to teams that have only proven themselves in a completely different game. Not to discredit 4g or reason, but they're still tf2 teams, not overwatch teams.

#19 Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer (Official) in Music, Movies, TV
KarlAnd not having Leia and Han Solo's kids in the mix (again could be wrong only a trailer) as Jedi seemed again very odd and inconsistent from what I would expect from the aftermath of EP 6.

I dunno man, they've still intentionally avoided saying Rey's last name. I have a good feeling that she's descended from force-sensitives, if not Luke/Leia/Han.

Have they explained that thing she carries around, by the way? On the poster, where she's actually wielding it, they noticeably don't show the end of it. It really looks like a saberstaff to me. Hell, the way they line up Ren's saber with it on the poster could be a hint.

#21 Star Wars Battlefront beta in Other Games

by what i've heard Hoth was basically a guaranteed rebel win in alpha, i guess they adjusted it too much in Empire's favor this time around or something

yttriumFixed infinite money exploit related to refunding upgrades in Mann vs. Machine mode
You sure this time, Valve?
October_6,_2015_PatchFixed an exploit in Mann vs. Machine related to infinite creditsAugust 28, 2015 PatchFixed a bug in Mann vs. Machine that allowed players to refund credits without losing their upgradesMarch 5, 2014 PatchFixed an exploit in Mann vs. Machine mode related to purchasing upgrades for freeJanuary 9, 2014Fixed an exploit in Mann vs. Machine related to purchasing upgrades

They randomly broke the festive revolver drawing a couple months ago and tried to fix it twice before finally getting it right in the last one. I know it wasn't right because I actually sent it in

I'm convinced they just slapdash fix one issue and commit without checking to see if theres any others in the same place, at this point

ZordonFreemanWhy does /r/TF2 think that no weapon bans will add variety to MM?

You'll just get scouts ONLY using BabyFace, Snipers ONLY using the Danger Shield, Spies Only using the enforcer and so on.

There was a thread on the front page last night about how we need more VIABLE weapons, not FUN weapons, as that's what actually adds variety to the game
One of the examples the OP used was that basically everyone is gonna use the ubersaw over the amputator
Cue the flood of "but I use the amputator!!!"

smvnowl the chance of swag joining too imo.
didnt swag get banned for matchfixing? sorry i dont follow comp cs too closely

He did, but he's currently coaching c9 and there's a chance (no one's really sure how big) that ex-ibp will be unbanned eventually, maybe around the year mark. The prevailing theory is that there's a clause in his contract that would option him as a player if ibp unbans happen, at which point him and Sean would switch.

I mean let's be real, if I had swag signed to my org and suddenly he could play again I wouldn't pass up that opportunity.

#3 ESEA bans skin gambling sponsorships in names/tags in CSGO General Discussion
mathsaddoes this mean they have to take the names of the sites out of their weapons skins? just curious since a lot of them seem to be doing that now.

Few says further down that they don't really have a method to enforce it, but if Valve implemented something publicly they would probably consider using it.

https://play.esea.net/index.php?s=forums&d=topic&id=695566

Good riddance honestly, if valve is gonna ban people for collusion for skin bets then the sites themselves really shouldn't be allowed to sponsor teams. Still can't believe there's a team as high up as prem with a skin betting sponsorship
