#16 Yugioh is cool in Off Topic

I used to play at local tourneys every weekend for around 6 years when I was younger; I quit around the time they began really pushing Synchros and it was fairly obvious Konami planned to keep rehashing old ideas as new in order to sell more cards.

Having played mostly pre-Synchro I wouldn't agree with that sentiment that games were decided in 1-3 turns, on average games lasted around the same or longer than most mtg duels, but Yugioh always got a lot of hate (much more so in recent years understandably) for being the "inferior" tcg which always made me a little sad, since it's what I had gotten into and really enjoyed as a kid.

#21 ESEA IM S18 : Final Matches of the Regular Season in News

Yeah I apologize, although we weren't really playing for the last few weeks we didn't plan on forfeiting for those final two matches. Tried to get people together but some were offline, hell we were planning to play yesterday but apparently ex is on vacation already.

#22 do not scrim bullets team in irc in TF2 General Discussion

Oh that's funny, I was doing a quick pugscrim yesterday with myself/pyyyour/flame/justintime/yosh/giraffe and they rolled us twice. Granted it was just a fun thing but most everyone was on their mains.

Peyote's always been a very pleasant and cool guy to me. He's also really good but that's probably obvious from his experience

#7 Random Invisible Props/World Objects/Players in Q/A Help

My bad then, I looked through a few pages but didn't notice any other threads at the time. I'm running viewmodel_fov 0 at the moment which I'm assuming would be a fine value. I just read and tested viewmodel_fov 0.01, which does appear to remove tracers and pyro flames. However I'm unsure of if that would cause the same issues as viewmodel_fov 360.

Alright, it's been very hit or miss when the issue crops up but I'll run without that and update if I keep having the same problem come up. Thank you for the quick response.

Yes I am. Or viewmodel_fov 360 to be accurate but I believe I remember them having the same effect for removing tracers.

#1 Random Invisible Props/World Objects/Players in Q/A Help

I've been running into this issue the last couple of weeks where at seemingly random moments my game will suddenly appear like this when playing on a server:

http://i.imgur.com/ybRwiEc.png

This most commonly occurred within a few minutes of joining a DM server, but lately has been more apparent anywhere I might join, and happened for the first time in a match last night. Afraid I only have the one picture but it generally seems most "extraneous" objects become invisible (boxes, boards, shutters, etc.). Players also become invisible, but recording-> stopping a demo seems to make them appear again. The only way to fix the world issues has been through restarting the game.

I've searched for fixes but most "invisible world objects/props" just bring up map-making threads. Verifying local files did not fix the issue, and considering my scrim schedule and terrible internet I'd prefer not having to redownload TF2 for three days straight unless it would definitively help. Thanks a bunch for any assistance or suggestions.

#35 AGDQ 2015 Schedule! in Off Topic

Just a small thing but cosmo's WR really wasn't thought of as unbeatable by anyone, the whole "Any% is dead" thing was sort of a joke. SOB shows under 18 should be possible if I remember correctly.

#270 ESEA S18 & TF2 in TF2 General Discussion

What Killing brought up in response to ^ topic before was "I cannot manually move up teams every single season."

I think what we're trying to get across is we are not asking for you to do such every season, I don't think anyone plans to take it as precedent for future team issues, we're just in a situation where we need IM teams and this is an easy fix.

#258 ESEA S18 & TF2 in TF2 General Discussion

I'm just going to say that there are 14+ teams with 2+ paid which should mean they're being taken into consideration. There are also other IM teams that WILL be formed and paid up if provided the time, not to mention the teams still finalizing players so they can pay up. If you read this shooter/killing please take those points into consideration, we were told 16+ teams would be good for an IM division and that'll be the case.

It's honestly sort of sad how only 9 IM teams are fully paid at the moment. There are things that come up, holiday season, etc., but really who can be blamed when so few teams pay up when their division is on the line. I still don't think it would be a good idea to reduce divisions as 3 divisions IS viable if you look at projections, we should have more teams than last season.

defythis has to be the lowest amount of teams in every division in a long time, s18 is looking grim

I don't know on the other hand we'll have 30+ Open teams and at least 10 IM teams with 5/6 paid while the holiday season was/is in full session. I'd say that bodes well for how many teams will actually be playing.

Though I'm just going to say we appreciate the communication at least Killing. I'll try to talk to people and see about helping everyone get paid up.

I understand the push to action by putting a deadline and all, but this season looks almost guaranteed to surpass the last few in terms of paying teams. Something like removing lan is a huge consequence, particularly when things look to be on the upswing.
