I'm excited to see what the game could bring competitively. What worries me is the supposed plans for "a lot more heroes", which pushes the game more towards MOBA hero selection rather than say class selection in TF2, where it's a relatively limited and constant pool. Simply my opinion but I don't think having a 50+ character pool with so many options will translate as well in an FPS where the "feel" of a character is much more apparent.
I'm also pretty worried it's likely to take the little/no customization route of MOBAs. I mean even saying "Alright, if we can't change the hud around it's okay", will you be able to change your crosshair (I don't know, all I could think of seeing the trailer was TF2+Brink+MOBA, and since the crosshair(s) look very similar to those used in Brink and you weren't allowed to even change it to a simple + to my knowledge)? Perhaps I'm worrying about nothing but who knows what to expect.
Bump, seems a lot of tryouts got pushed back a week but I'd love to play either today or tomorrow if anyone's looking.
Finally managed to get a good run going after a few more tries.

The easiest way to get along the outer circle is two consecutive clicks with a tiny pause between each after launching yourself, and then straightening out your course once you start heading back inwards.
Whoa there was just a huge influx of people just shooting straight out and killing everyone. Can't get past 600 now.
Bump, have some more tryouts planned but nothing this week I believe.
Ducky keyboards are a very good and reputable brand. Both reds and browns have a ~45g actuation force, so quite light if you're unaccustomed (for comparison membrane, used by the lycosa, is around ~65g actuation). Reds are entirely linear, meaning there is no tactile bump or audible click when pressing the key from rest to bottoming out. Browns have a light tactile bump 2mm through the travel path (halfway down and where the key actuates at) and no audible click.
This (http://www.overclock.net/t/491752/official-mechanical-keyboard-guide) is a very nice guide put together by some folks over at overclock. I'd really recommend reading over it if you're interested in choosing from various switches/build materials/keyboards. Or you can add me if you'd like, I'm not the greatest of help put I'm sure I could answer some questions.
Maybe I should message lemon about changing the OP around, it could include some better keyboards and maybe some basic links for those who want to do some research before buying.
Bump, in the off-season for me now
Weekly bump, good luck to satan take the wheel in playoffs tonight.
Bump. Postseason starting up, best of luck to Satan Take the Wheel
Bumping again, thanks for the kind words everyone
Very nice dude, haven't seen him play much since our time together two seasons ago but he was good then and I'm sure he's done nothing but improve since
It's something that happens occasionally to me, I can't say about server particulars but since I play the most scout on dm servers or scrims, I've had it happen on both. Not as a regular thing per se, but sometimes a couple times a day I'll notice, I couldn't explain it for you, but at least in my case I can tell you it occurs without some hack/external program.
I run capped at 120 fps on a 120hz monitor, on a fairly poor wireless connection (though still pretty consistent in connection) if that helps.
Hey there everyone, so I spent the past season backing up with Satan Take the Wheel as Scout/Medic but now I'm hoping to play more and start for a team. I'm preferably looking IM, but I'd also be happy to join a playoff Open team since I'm more interested in playtime overall.
6s history-
ESEA-IM S17 - Satan Take The Wheel (backup) - (12-4)
CEVO-O S4 - Simple Machines - (5-11)
ESEA-O S15 - Stoop Nation - (9-7)
ESEA-O S14 - Dispenser Took 3 - (8-8)
I work best when the team has a strong caller(s) and communication is clear with the team. Besides that I play best around the combo, but I can fit the aggressive flank role or switch flexibly between if you like.
You can add me here - http://steamcommunity.com/id/Split_/
I'm available most days at any time for scrims. Thanks for reading.
