#51 The Mouse/Mousepad Thread v2 in Hardware
aieraaiera-snip-my push to talk button (mouse 5) is officially dead and I would love a recommendation.

Sorry about that, haven't been responding and helping out like I should the past while.

Roccat is fond of similar shells, I'd take a look at the Kone Pure Optical / Kone Pure Optical Military / Kone XTD Optical / Savu. All have similar curvature, some slight differences between them in regards to contours, texturing, you have your choice of sensors really, Roccat's better than some regarding variety. For reference some quick searching shows your mouse should weight in the approximate 100-110 gram range; Savu / Kone Pure Optical / Military should be a tad lighter, XTD Optical a bit heavier. You can check them out and judge the discrepancies yourself.

Swear I'm missing out on one or two more with a similar ODM shell just can't recall them for the moment. Let me know if those ^ suggestions are/aren't of interest, any further questions, etc.

#1 split_ Demo / Map Reviews in Mentoring

Edit: Originally posted this on UGC but would like some more 6s demos, so editing and copying this over.

Hey there everyone, looking to do some more mentoring. I'll be streaming reviews of any demos sent in whenever I get them and have time, along with some of my own once in a while. Demos should be from Open+ level scrims/matches. Scout/Medic demos are preferred as I can provide the most insight for those. Also, for any maps/map strategies people would like me to go over (such as upcoming ESEA maps), just let me know. You can post relevant links/information here or add me on Steam.

#211 The Mouse/Mousepad Thread (last updated Sep. 9, 2013) in Hardware

As a generality, cloth/soft pads provide greater static and kinetic friction. Hard pads provide less so. Some people prefer soft pads for high sensitivty, as it allows for greater control, which might be important when working with smaller movements and a lesser margin for error. Others prefer hard pads for the lesser "sticking" and resistance when making the variety of quick, short movements one might expect with a high sensitivity. It's ultimately user preference.
