While you are at it, make rockets do 125 at point blank range too. Nothing more frustrating as soldier to come face to face with a scout around a corner, hit him with a direct point blank and see him run off alive after he meatshot you once.

Not sure how you can possibly believe this. Is really easy to examine the different games and see what the main focus revolves around.
Overwatch revolves around Ultimate Charges. DM in Overwatch is only a moderate factor at best. Abilities in Overwatch trump DM ability by a fucking mile and that's not even debatable IMO. Teamplay and coordination play a big part but even that still revolves around Ultimate's, not stronger DM ability.
Quake 3/Live revolves strictly around DM ability. There are no gimmicks to use, just who is the smarter/better player. Outside of 1v1, Teamwork and Coordination are moderately high factors but superior DM ability will trump anything in Quake games. Champions might not follow that past trend completely but I can't see a Quake based game that does not stress DM ability over everything else. It just wouldn't be Quake but I guess we will see.
TF2 revolves around UBERS, but DM and coordination remain heavy factors. That is one of the reasons I enjoy TF2 so much. When compared to most other games, no skill in itself overshadows the other important skills. I really feel there is a solid balance in TF2 that other games have trouble matching. Its kinda sad this game never took off to showcase that balance. :(

SideshowHunter_2_0Haven't followed the pro overwatch scene, can someone summarize how ex tf2 players have done against other teams in general?
Purely in tf2 terms:
Avast's team has been pounding the tier-two NA sides like harbleu's old team, Mike's team, Hidan's team, PYYYOUR's team, and mesr's team. They just got beaten in a recent tournament by KnOxXx's team though, and ryb's team and Taimou's team were in Korea and would probably beat them too. Zebbosai's team is also really good but they're stuck in Korea - where they lost to Fl0w3r's team - or Europe so they won't play them, and Rubikon's team are pretty good too but again, stuck in Europe.
That's the OW scene in a TF2 nutshell.
So you are basically just saying Avast is still Low Invite? ;P

Like I said in an earlier post, there is good practice and bad practice. You need to figure out what you want to play MGE for and then go do it. Play to Warmup, Play to Win, Play to improve, etc Once you know your goal, you can work on your game and it doesn't matter much how other people play.
Some people play MGE just to win and don't care what tactics they use to achieve that goal. There is nothing wrong with ppl doing that but you also don't have to play along if you feel it is not helping you. If playing to win using retarded tactics doesn't suit your goals just leave the arena and play elsewhere for your own reasons.
I play MGE to warmup and stay sharp. I really don't give a shit if I win or lose and if I run into an MGE idiot, (which happens fairly often) I simply leave the arena/server and find a new person to play against.

I can kinda feel the pain. About half way on my drive to the venue my car alarm went off giving me a bright red message on my dashboard "Transmission Malfunction Service Now". I was so pissed off cause I was unable to go over 40 mph for the rest of the trip and the ride home was fucking terrible. My RPM's were revving between 3-4 and every car passing me at 60+ MPH. Pretty sure I gave about 300 people the finger and a few expletives out the window when they were tailgating me.
During the whole trip home I was expecting that one driver not paying attention to slam right into the back of my car. Even the team drive to Wendy's around the corner was a challenge.

I am pretty sure our medic Charis did tell us after that he heard the backcap call. He was the guy you tried to help with the headset/microphone problem. He didn't yell it to us because I think he said he felt it was cheap and its not like a medic can do much to stop it himself.
I totally missed that cap call. Lucky cause I would have tried to stop that shit for sure and credit my gamesense. rofl
