#156 NHL Megathread in Off Topic
cookieEver since the infamous Bruins series I've been too scared to celebrate a series lead until I hear the final buzzer go off..

Still remember this series like it happened yesterday. Simon Gagne was a God

Leafs making me eat my words. This comeback win was probably the best game so far in this post season.

No Excuse for losing a game when up 4-1 at the end of the 2nd period. Almost no chance for a team like TB to turn a devastating loss like this around and win 3 straight games.

Not sure if its the right context but wouldn't yomps fit this?

From what I recall back then, yomps was playing strictly in UGC and in his first ESEA season won IM. After that he built up in invite and the rest is history but I remember ppl talking about him specifically because he was so new when he first appeared in ESEA Matches.

GritomaStacegreat example was this match 10.4 against flyers. I will also mention that the Bruins beat the Flyers while resting Bergeron, Krejci, McAvoy, Hall, Orlov and Ullmark. If anything, a two-goal win here is just a testiment to how good the Providence Bruins are.

Are you for real? They beat a Flyers team that has been understrength since day 1 of the season and half our players are AHL callups. We are in the bottom 10 in the league when this game was played, had a backup coach running the bench as practice and a rookie goalie in net who was 3-11 at the time. If anything, you should have won by a lot more than 2 goals.

I hate your fucking team and your pompous fans so much. I know I predicted a 2nd round loss already but I am going to laugh my ass off if the Panthers send you guys packing in the 1st round. I watched both games and they are going to grind out this series.

Impossible to answer with an empty toilet. Poop first then cut in half with pee. Coordinates can be anywhere.

#18 RGL S11 Advanced Happenings/Discussion in TF2 General Discussion

In the past, sandbagging complaints have been from lower divisions only. (Invite Players in Main or lower, etc)

Can RGL please let us know if any Adv teams/players have complained about sandbagging in Advanced?
Frankly, if you signup to play in advanced then you are expecting to play top competition and have nothing to complain about.

No hate on the players from Kronge at all but none of them have done anything significant in Invite to warrant a sandbagging rule. 5/13 being the best results I can see on any record with no playoff experience. Why would they get banned from main classes in Advanced? The only thing I can think of is that they decided they don't want to play in invite. This roster can easily play with and probably beat all the invite qualifier teams but is not playing.

#10 spaceship DM leaderboard + tournament in Projects
tommypeople enjoy fighting to be #1 on the scoreboard already.

Some do this for sure but I think the large majority simply use DM just to warmup before scrims. Still it might be fun to see the results for a whole month while it is still pre-season.

Is there any way to make it class specific? I can't see how this wouldn't be completely scout dominated

#4 Logs from entire seasons of invite/prem in Q/A Help

Are you looking for anything specific or just general stats for everyone who played? I have my printouts and binders from when I did the database and they only show:

Teams that played
Match Results
Map Played
Points, Frags, Deaths

You can't pull any "logs" from the ESEA website that I am aware of but you can do searches to find the info and it would be a fucking exhaustive process.

If you know the team name you would have to scroll to the season desired and then change your results from "scrims" to "league" and it would show you the recorded logs for those matches. Some match logs are bugged but I believe most of them would still be available for basic info like frags/deaths and such.

here is an example from 2012
1088 DPM seems a bit high but Platinum was pretty good back then :)

#122 World Championship Football in World Events

Has there been a WC Final better? This one has my vote for sure, it literally had everything you could ever want.
As said earlier, this referee was really good, no complains IMO and I'm grateful he was not an issue.

ARG dominated the entire first half. FRA stage a comeback in the 2nd half when ARG looked tired as fuck.
2 goals in EXTRA TIME with a 2nd comeback from FRA followed by penalties. What more could anyone ask for in a final?

Mbappe's 2nd goal was just pure skill, perfect timing and technique. Not to mention fucking clutch to tie the game in the 81st minute! Only 23 years old and just incredible talent, he was so strong for the whole tournament and gets the Golden Boot.

Messi was incredible for the entire fucking game and involved heavily in every goal. Dude is the GOAT and it might not be a debate anymore with this trophy. His vision on the field is like what we saw with Wayne Gretzky. Messi just sees things that others cannot like this goal. Its not a teachable talent, either you have it or you don't.

The person I really feel bad for is FRA - Randal Kolo Muani. Dude has the World Cup on his foot @122:00 and cannot bury it. Can't take anything away from the save since the goalie was in the right spot but there was lot of net to shoot at. I can't imagine what he is feeling right now, he will be seeing that in his sleep for a long time.
