numlockedeu plz!

I would love to compile the Prem stats but the only way this was possible for me is because of the ESEA webpage records. I don't see anything like that on the EU website that shows details of each match.

bearodactylMashpitSquaredSideshowI hope that's not serious :D of course it's 50/50, if 6 invite players win a game then 6 invite players have to lose too.what about 5v6 matches thoughif he's not accounting for forfeits I very much doubt spadecadet would include stats from 5v6 games...

5v6 matches are included in the records because they were physical matches that were played. I don't view a FFW as valid in the win/loss category but a win 6v5 is a shit win but it's still a win.

alec_where am i im tryna see my 6-26 from the ddd days

alec, your record is not forgotten and currently not included along with 4 others that I had to update. I need to combine some records/stats for players with multiple accounts. I have an update to upload than includes you but with this website switch over I have to do it after my match tomorrow night or thursday

conductorneat idea; do you actually have this saved as a database or all of these pages hardcoded

and yeah as was mentioned if you added some basic styling and switched colors up a bit it would be a lot easier on the eyes

I will really work on the coloring and styling. I plan to keep this database active and updated for all future season so improvements will come as well.

As far as having everything recorded. I have 3 binders filled with printouts for every player and every match played. Playoffs were hand-written because the ESEA site does not print-out when teams played "multiple" maps in a best of 3.

marmadukeGRYLLSi learned that my invite record is 9-50. i went 7-9 with madmen season 15 or w/e, so that's pretty depressing.

Sorry Marma, You are referring to Season 17. You went 5-8, I did not record FFW's for any player.

#65 ESEA Open Power Ranks - Week 5 - Gullywash in TF2 General Discussion
Air_you should make the team's name that is bolded in the redish colored text also link to the team pagebearodactylspace you should include rosters/class listings for people like me who don't know teams by their names

I will try my best to include both for future weeks if I have the time. Great ideas.

aieraSpaceCadetThis team has arguably the strongest and most aggressive scout pair in open. Brrton and Pinkushin marty+glukkon
neeko+syath
midas+burdened

Would also be a mistake to overlook muse/comaglia, hopefully teams do that. :)

tojoSpaceCadetWHAT ARE THOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSE
edit: oh yea yack me off also not here?
Vortexyack me off should be where not around bears are at, pretty crazy they're not even in the honorable mentions but i guess we'll see next week when they have to play shiki's team and jaguar's team

I am/was aware of yack me off before i did the rankings. As I said in the beginning, I am not into popularity contests. The ranks are more based off match performances and schedule strength than anything else. Yack me off have 8 wins total but 4 of them were FFW's. Not a single win was against a team in the top10 or near the top10. I am quite sure they will be there in future weeks but they will need to prove it first.

#2 ESEA Open Power Ranks - Week 5 - Gullywash in TF2 General Discussion

#6 – Puck Fat (5-2) - (6-2 soon)
Scheduled Strength: Above Average

The reformed Cloud 9 boys find themselves in an interesting position. They had two hard fought losses against Top 5 teams sockheads and Weiner Bros. Both matches were competitive and despite the losses, show this team can hang with any in the division. That said, having 2 losses in the first 6 matches means that scheduling will be in Puck Fat’s favor. They will likely face easier teams in the coming weeks and rack up some wins but by the end of the season on Badlands or Viad, they will be tested against Top 5 teams leading into playoffs.

#7 – rip john wayne kayc (4-3)
Schedule Strength: Average

With a 4-3 record, SS and company have had a tough start but the experience and talent this team has cannot be ignored because of a few losses. I have no idea how serious they are taking the season and that might be the most important factor. They are missing a Sunshine match from Week 2 and will make-up that later in the season in what will no doubt be an easy victory/forfeit win. Because of the 3 losses, they will certainly face easy competition in the coming weeks and add several wins to the record.

#8 – Doom Room (7-1)
Schedule Strength: Weak

Doom Room have the potential to be a wildcard team this season but have a lot to prove. Through the first 8 games, the only match of note was a 5-2 loss to Elite Pwnage Squad on Process. The first half looked like a roll for Elite Pwnage Squad but Doom Room turned it up for the 2nd half and made it competitive. Their Gullywash matches this week should be of interest and show us what this team can do. They face 2 teams close to the top 10 that may offer a good challenge.

#9 – Not Around Bears (6-2)
Schedule Strength: Above Average

NAB make my Top 10 because of a tough starting schedule. 2 convincing losses to Top 5 teams combined with 6 solid wins against lesser opponents shows they are a cut above the average. This team is not without talent and if they can gel together, there may be a surprise or 2 in store as the season progresses. NAB faces Strafe Power and Puck Fat this week on Gullywash so after these matches we can see what they have under the hood.

#10 – Blue Elephant (8-0)
Schedule Strength: Weak

Blue Elephant slips into the 10 spot because I enjoy an 8-0 record, what can I say. They have not played a single team in the Top 10 and have 2 nail-biting wins over Mirrorgate(dead) and Prw Rangers. I highly doubt they will remain undefeated or in the Top 10 after this week. They face powerhouse teams Weiner Bros and Mutual Consent on Gullywash. An upset win is highly unlikely in both cases but they can prove their worth by making the rounds competitive.

Honorable Mentions : Strafe Power, Smoke Nothing Everyday, Pwr Rangers

#1 ESEA Open Power Ranks - Week 5 - Gullywash in TF2 General Discussion

I decided to do my own Power Rankings for Open because nobody is doing articles this season and it is fun to write stuff at work to pass the time. It also made no sense to do power rankings until each team has played the first 8 matches because that is just a popularity contest.

Let me first say that I think this season of Open is going to be fantastic. There is not a single sandbagging team of invite rejects trying to get a quick paycheck by “off-classing all season”. That leaves a lot of hungry players and teams close in skill level with a very attainable goal at the end of the road. I expected to see some great matches in the weeks ahead as the top teams jockey for playoff positions.

My rankings are based off a few factors.
--Match Performance (most important)
--Schedule Difficulty
--Knowledge of the players/teams
--Scrim Results (least important)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

#1 – Weiner Bros (8-0)
Scheduled Strength: Above Average

With 4 of their first 8 matches coming against teams in or around my Top 10, the Weiner Bros have performed as expected with a clean 8-0 record. Even before the season started, many had these guys pegged as the team to beat this season. They have solid players at every position and the combo of Shiki/Peyote has few rivals in this division. I was hoping to see them have a tougher Gully schedule but they should cruise with 2 solid victories this week.

#2 – Mutual Consent (8-0)
Schedule Strength: Average

Mutual Consent had a very easy schedule until Snakewater week where they were twice put to the test. While I expected the sockheads match to be very close the Strafe Power result was more surprising. This team has arguably the strongest and most aggressive scout pair in open. Brrton and Pinkushin will be difficult for most teams to deal with as they clean-up this teams heavy hitting projectile classes very well. Gullywash week shouldn’t be much of a challenge, expect 2 solid wins.

#3 – sockheads (7-1)
Schedule Strength: Strong

Socksheads have easily had the most difficult schedule during the first 8 matches having played teams ranked 2, 5 and 6 in my Top 10. All were competitive matches that illustrated how even the top teams are right now. The wealth of experience on this team should serve them well when playoffs begin and they will be a scary team to face. Gullywash week should offer little challenge for this team.

#4 – Elite Pwnage Squad (8-0)
Schedule Strength: Average

EPS is a team with lots of talent and despite the 8-0 clean sheet they sport, it has not been the smoothest start. They have not faced off against a Top 5 team yet and the matches they had against contender teams were shaky wins at best. The most recent being a 4-3 win over rip john wayne kayc that could have easily been a loss. Gullywash week will continue the trend of weak scheduling and a 10-0 start is highly likely. Perhaps on metalworks week, they will get a Top 5 team to face.

#5 – BLANC Esports (7-1)
Schedule Strength: Below Average

BLANC is my team and I have a lot of confidence in my teammates. We are getting stronger each week and by playoffs, I feel we will be a difficult team to defeat. That aside, our schedule has been soft for the opening half of the season. Only the match against sockheads was a real test and look forward to the rematch down the line. Looking at our current schedule, I anticipate a 9-1 record after Gullywash week. With hopes of a Top 5 opponent for Metalworks.
