#2 ESEA S21 W6: Ascent vs. The Grime in Matches

Some random stats for this match tonight

  • This will be the 175th invite match for Shrugger, putting him 12th All-Time in that category.
  • Bdonski will be looking for his 90th career invite victory in this match.
  • An Ascent win will place Ma3la and Bdonski 16th and 17th respectively on the All-Time Wins list.
  • 1-15 -- the combined record The Grime's starters have on Granary
  • Compared to Ascent having some of the top Granary records to date
  • Bdonski - 11-3
  • rando - 10-3
  • Ma3la - 10-5
  • Shrugger - 13-8

I will try and add little things like this for future matches. Maybe the casters can use it at some point.

#65 The Invite Player Index in News

Season 20 Invite stats have been added to the Index. Individual player stats, Map stats and playoff stats included.
Sorry for the late update.

http://tf2db.github.io/tf2database/

A few things of note:

370 individual players have now played at least 1 match in invite. With all the new blood we have seen over the past 2 season, I expect to pass 400 soon.

b4nny becomes the only player to pass 300 matches played in his career, passing enigma (297) to get the top spot. cyzer will join him this season.

cyzer becomes only the 3rd player to rack up 200 wins. (b4nny and enigma are the other 2)

Season 20 was tough to metalworks records. Only Lansky (7-0) maintains an undefeated record worth note.

Shade's perfect game on process (https://play.esea.net/index.php?s=stats&d=match&id=5403798) was the only update to the Individual records from last season.

#55 remedy vac??? (haven't seen any posts about this) in TF2 General Discussion

Every time someone gets accused of hacking, there is always a comment saying "I seen him play at LAN, so he doesn't cheat".

It is literally the dumbest reasoning to make for defending a possible cheater. Just because he did not hack at LAN doesn't mean it isn't hacking at home with nobody around. I really wish people would stop saying this stupid shit because it means absolutely nothing that you played with him at LAN and he did not hack at LAN.

#21 GoT season 6 in Music, Movies, TV

I have not read the GoT books but I can understand how and why people get mad when watching on TV or in the movies. I was almost furious over Ender's Game in the movie theater because the books are simply amazing and the movie did it no justice at all. I hated the movie.

The only pat of GoT I kinda wish did not happen was Price Oberyn being killed off so quickly. I really enjoyed his character, he was smooth and the actor was really good on top of it all.

#158 Best Plays in TF2 history in TF2 General Discussion
4812622ScilliantHarbleu at i52 to secure the victory in golden cap against iM.
people always put the timestamp too late and skip past the part where milks to 30 health and drops his pocket

https://youtu.be/KpDRCs78gqE?t=2575

actually the greatest play

I agree this being the most clutch TF2 play there has been. Fuckng Golden Cap at i52 in the losers bracket. Watching this live was amazing and still might be one of the best matches ever played.

Harb did not drop TLR here though. TLR was just caught trying to supporting the seagul bomb with spam rockets. yuki was smart enough to realize he needed to cover that spammer and killed TLR. Harb was already way back on bridge and healing Platinum by the time TLR died.

The real clutch moment is understanding that Harb knew he had the best soldier at i52 right in his face and still had the balls of steel / composure to hold the uber with 30 health. Fucking yuki was hitting everything in the air and on the ground, he was by far the best soldier at i52. Very few medics around would have made a play like this under this pressure.

More so, Harb understood that the risk was worth the reward. Even if Harb would have dropped, mix would have only been pushed back to mid or their 2nd at worst and it would probably be uber vs uber again.

mttokkihttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1m7JpMPb8DQ
managed to surprise my mom with pretty huge phone bills at times.

Brings back good memories from those QWTF days.

This video is a complete cluster fuck, I can't tell if you are offense or defense. In NA QWTF, it became an "unwritten rule" for both teams offensive players to not shoot the other teams offensive players as we both crossed the middle of the map. That way it was a proper "cap race" and not some huge DM fest like in this video. Very few players broke that rule.

The only time fighting in the middle of the map was acceptable was if the flag was dropped in the middle of the map. At those times all rules were thrown out the window.

#78 Memories when you started online gaming in Off Topic

Its been so long and I still remember the first time I played an FPS. My brother took me to his Air Force base and his roommate introduced me to Duke Nukem 3d. It was the first time I ever played a shooter and he was kicking my ass every time and never let up to allow me to win. I never forgot that and was instantly hooked. Soon after I started playing Quake on the first day of release and 20 years later I am still playing. I doubt I will ever stop.

#9 Space Cadet- a frag movie by rainman in Videos
owlis this just a video of him bombing enemy teams and getting mulched because he landed in the wrong spot? because that's how I remember playing against him

I really don't understand where this comes from. Nothing you said has anything to do with the video but if you just dislike me for whatever reason and this is how you handle it, or if you just think I am shit then I can accept that and leave it alone. I have never said I was good at this game and was not trying to impress anyone with a video. This was to be for my own use because I cannot make one myself. The real star of the video is the the guy who made it, he did a great job IMO.

xattuuits a good edit, but i feel like it could have been cut down a minute or two, it just felt repetitive and some stuff was just in there because medic pick.

This is accurate but not a negative reflection on Rainman at all. He only did as I requested in both cases since I asked for a longer video and to include all the clips I sent him. Blame any repetitive feeling or lackluster frags on me.

I can't say enough good things about Rainman. He seems to really care about doing stuff like this and wanted to make sure I was happy with the video. I had no problem paying him well for his time/effort and adding everything I wanted.
