XCOM: Enemy Unknown is a great turn-based strategy game with lots of RPG elements for your individual soldiers (and permadeath). The base game is great, but there's also a mod for it called Long War that turns everything up to 11 and is one of my favorite games ever.

Battle Brothers is another great turn-based strategy game in the same style.

Either of these are good picks if you want something a bit different. The depth of strategy in either title is incredible.

As others in this thread have said,

for NA TF2, this would not create a new league, but would just be the modification of ESEA (quite possibly leading to better support?).

IMO it's hard to see this as anything other than a win/win for NA TF2.

As for EU/OCE/SA, I'd recommend that ESL reach out to admins and community leaders of the existing leagues there as well and see what kinds of opportunities there might be for working together.

Would love to see big TF2 events on ESL streams at some point :)

I swear it's impossible to get tired of watching airshots, the depth of the movement and airstrafing mechanics in this game make each one unique.

I find a strange sort of beauty in the game. That feeling is probably best conveyed by watching ikpure's frag movies.

I really dislike people who don't understand/abuse the concept of uncertainty in scientific discoveries. When a scientist says that there's a "high degree of certainty" about something, they don't mean 60% or 80% sure, they mean 99.9999% sure that their findings are fact. The leftover 0.0001% is left over to ensure that other scientists are heard in the extreme case that they make a discovery that changes literally our entire understanding of how the world works.
