v4.68

Noticed an issue with the Frontier Justice crit counter I caused yesterday and ended up spending a few hours tinkering with all the meter counts. Barely even changed anything. Such is HUD editing.

- standardized shadows/font for meter count labels
- fixed revenge crits overlapping metal account in lowered version
- added wrench icon to engineer metal acccount value

Couple of minor fixes. Fun fact: I released the original 7HUD 5 years ago this month. Time flies.

- removed jungle inferno stuff from main menu
- fixed engineer panel not displaying number of teleports
- fixed pomson and spycicle having incorrect meter theme in centered version

Valve fixed the Gas Passer and Phlog meters. Hooray.

Does anyone know how to edit the DashboardDimmer element? I have checked all over the place and can't find the folder that controls this.
Not currently, and I’ve tried everything. Hiding it with visible, xpos, pinning it somewhere off screen. I only managed to hide it when I reload the hud. If you relaunch, it ignores any changes you made to it. It’s fucking dumb dude.

So where is the file? I simply couldn't find it.

v4.63

There are still a couple of outstanding bugs with this release, but one of them is a Valve issue that I cannot resolve without a fix from them. This bug has the Gas Passer effect meter overlapping the Phlogistinator effect meter. The other problem is the black overlay that appears when you click the "find game" button to dim the screen while you select a game mode. It doesn't stretch all the way to the bottom of the screen. I can't find the file to control that, so it's not fixed yet.

- reconfigured main menu to better suit jungle inferno changes
- stylized thermal thruster effect meter
- fixed player health positioning after switching hud location

Oh good, both the phlog and the gas passer use the same item effect meter, so I can't make them not overlap. Is this not a bug in the default HUD?

Where is the DashboardDimmer element? It's the big background that comes in to dim the rest of the screen when you open the matchmaking panel. The VGUI tree says it's in mainmenuoverride, but of course it's not.

I just did a small test before replying to make sure. I just renamed the element and it stopped using the tooltip.
So "fieldName" "SettingsButton1" (just added a 1). The button still works but the tooltip is gone.

Now, if the button had any special property that was hardcoded to the name (aside from the tooltip), that will also be gone. Luckily, I don't think it had any. I only mention it because I recall trying to move the quitbutton into an editablepanel some time ago and it caused the button to stop having a command. Changing things that are supposed to be hardcoded sometimes don't work. This one seemed fine, though.
