PhunkCould you have been playing on one of the 128 tick servers without your settings having been properly configured?

idk, but taking away P-REC solved the problem and also made my game feel a lot smoother in general.

#1 Really Weird Jittering in Q/A Help

Every single time I play in TF2 Center, I get this REALLY weird 'jittering'. It happens nowhere else, and I have no clue what the hell it is. It can't be my mouse since it never happens anywhere else, and my settings seem fine. I have P-Rec though, and thats the first thing I'm going to see.

Any ideas as to what is causing this?

Is it really inferior in all situations tho? I understand doing it on spire or gran mid, but for example what would be the advantage of doing it on badlands mid? I kinda find it easier to airshot since it's a lot more predictable air time and gives you time to place yourself properly to surf their rocket, it's just annoying because I have to flick a lot more and since I have kind of a low sens it's tiring.

I have an In/360 equivalent of 450 DPI on a 1920 x 1080 screen, and I have absolutely no problems flicking.

I generally do gunboats MGE so I don't rely on the shotty. But... Valid point.

RaytekTry and predict where they're going to strafe to and shoot below them when they have less momentum and a more predictable strafe

As far as juggling it's just knowing the delay of your rockets which comes from practice, try and hit them at the lowest point so the rocket shoots them up and resets their falling momentum

thakns to you. I feel like I've been getting more consistent airshots when I started tracking the opponent in the air, and then snapping about a half inch to the right/left (depending on where they're going) to make up for delay.

KrocketKarmaWhen it comes to juggling the main reason I miss double or triples is because I react too fast. The most important factor is to calm down and take a few milliseconds longer to line up the shot rather than flick and miss. And ya, aim as low as you can on the person so you can keep popping them up (if it would benefit you).

Eh... Looking at how I do it, I now see that I also react way too fast. I need to work on that.

As the title implies, I'm looking for advice on airshotting wild strafers in MGE. I can airshot players that don't strafe pretty consistently, but the players that do strafe/wildly strafe give me problems and generally escape the shot. I also have some problems connecting multiple airshots/ air juggling opponents, so I'm looking for some tips to improve there.

It looks absolutely amazing and the rocket smoke isn't as prominent. The only downside is that it won't work on sv_pure 1 servers, but I'm still really satisfied with the effect. I think you guys should try it too. Also, is there a way to make these files work on sv_pure servers?

#1 LF Roamer/Pocket Mentor in Mentoring

By now I do pretty well in 6S Lobbies and usually get from 4 to 10 Med Downs as a Roamer. I'm really inexperienced as a pocket, but I know the general idea. I'm looking for a mentor that can tell me the general competitive meta, and tell me things like when I should bomb and when I shouldn't. I have 300 Hours on solly and 1,750 Hours in-game, and I'm pretty decent at MGE. I personally think it would benefit me a lot to get a mentor with some good comp experience, to improve my game sense.

wattersonfireindaarcaderage1I think hud_combattext 0 would remove the numbers.
The problem is he still wants the damage on the main part of the HUD, he just doesn't want it popping up next to whoever he just hit for that damage.

HUDDamageAccount.res in resource/ui, first entry turn visible and enabled to 0.

doens't work.
There wasn't any visible or enabled listed earlier, but after I added them in and changed the values to 0, it had no effect.

By now, I've just been doing lobbies and going to MGE, and I have absolutely no competitive experience. I have a fairly decent juggling game, with usable but not too amazing airshot abilities. I have a bit over 1,750 Hours in TF2, and 300 Hours in Soldier. My Rocket Jumping abilities are more than what I need for comp, and the only thing I'm lacking is C-Tap. Although I can't do every jump I plan to use 100% of the time, I know for a fact that it'll be easy to pull off with practice in the specific situation. I have a mere 44 Lobbies, but here are some logs to reassure you or assure you that I'm not completely trash.

Right now, I'm mainly working on my airshots, since its one of the most obvious and distinct things I can improve upon. Something I plan to work on in the near future is Ctap. I can ctap vertically with 50% consistency, but I know that if I practice it for a week or so, I can easily perfect it. I'm not too sure where I'm at, but I do pretty decently in 6S Lobbies. I'm extremely active in-game, and I have lots of free time because my schoolwork doesn't put any stress on me. To me, my grades come before anything, even my friends, because how I do now will impact my future.

Although I don't have much to present myself with, I hope you'll this thread seriously. If you try me out and you think I'm not at Steel 6S level yet, please let me know so I can go back to MGE and improve myself.

If you want any demos, I can provide them for you.
