LangeKissmeLangeKissmeAnd for the love of god, just get their dam MAC addresses and ban those -.-
I...
What?
Is there no support for MAC address bans from IRC?
You can't ban a MAC address for several reasons:
1) MAC addresses can be changed freely with little effort
2) Any MAC address that could be used to identify an individual is lost the moment a packet gets on an ISP's network. In any given frame (network frame not game frame), there is a Source and Destination MAC address that correspond to the two devices involved in the current "hop". So if you are 5 hops down the line, the person's original MAC address is long gone, discarded at the first router.
Ah. I was under the impression that the original IP/MAC would be retained somewhere in the encapsulation from hop to hop.

To open my own game server company, as a long time gamer, I would have 1st hand experience on what people want/expect from a server provider =)
I was planning on doing this until the economy went to shit :/

Just the fact that only cbear looks like he's going insane, while everyone else just looks disgusted LOL
First thing I saw coming on tf.tv today, it made my day, omg XD
Cro0Ked_Kissmeit depends! we support debian, ubuntu and centos. i personally use freebsd on my home backup server (and eventually my colo), debian squeeze on my netbook, and ubuntu on my laptop and workstation :) i sharpened my teeth on slackware, though, so i know a thing or two :DCro0Ked_i'm a linux sysadmin here!
What flavor you use?
I worked with Ubuntu and Redhat during college and then used CentOS on my senior project. Had to set it up on a server and then on a NAS box that had to be compatible with a Windows 08 server. I remember my chair was a cool guy, gave me a copy of Backtrack XD
TheFragileNow studying on my own to get my CCNA to become a certified network engineer.
Don't forget your A+/Net+ (which I believe you need in order to go for your CCNA, could be wrong) =)

Was a Ski-lift attendant for the past 4 years. Now that Spring is here, I'm looking to find a job with my shitty 4.0 GPA in Networking (may learn C and C++ and go for a coding job instead.)
CHE_The Peppercock Family (#13) vs Playground Tactics (#4)
will determine who wins open
o.o
SpyromancerredbanOf the top of my head, Kissme and cookie are two prime examples of people who made "hello world" posts and were met with all smiles.thrasherAlso for expanding appeal to newer players... Maybe the majority of the community could stop acting like a bunch of ignorant cunts all the time.
When TF2 first came out just about everyone in the community was pretty nice and usually really helpful. Now it's more like "fucking noob. Fuck off." And that's not very appealing.
I feel like the "fucking noob, fuck off" stuff is between existing community members. Seems like new players are greeted with warm welcomes and friendliness. Not even being sarcastic either.
Kissme!
Any update on when the brackets will be released? Games begin this Thursday.
