thee5orrowsweeper/package mover at Bud Light for 3 months, at a decent $11.25/hr, got decent money because they suck every ounce of work in you. then moved to the line (omg yes) at $15.00/hr, all getting some decent cash before i recently graduated high school.
$11.25-$15/hr for your first job before even graduating high school is ridiculous
also, getting a decent first job is all about knowing the right people, I'd ask around to see if any friends/family members can help out
I hear a lot about NA/EU/AU tf2, not much about asia though
good to see coverage of their comp play as well
crespiI hope that makes sense, and I apologize for writing a short novel. Good luck with learning everything. Feel free to add me on steam if you need some help.
nah thanks man, definitely a lot of comprehensive stuff here that makes scripting seem a little easier. I think i'll just try testing out making my own scripts and then using my current cfgs until I get scripting down.
I would suggest forwarding the ports of the mumble servers you're having trouble connecting to, but it sounds like this is an issue with the new updated mumble
tornados2111I just tried maxquality on dx9. If I am getting good fps, I was wondering if there's any reason not to use it? I turned off ragdolls so that's not a problem or distraction in comp. Is there any other reason not to use maxquality?
It's honestly just personal preference, however a lot of people lower the quality of tf2 in an attempt to be less distracted by things like props or bushes/grass/rocks that you can clip through. It's also somewhat helpful as far as maximizing your ability to concentrate on clicking on the enemy team, much in the same way quake players use fullbright textures that make the map textures less complex and 1 solid color.
okay so around 2009 or so I started using my (then) scout partner's tf2 cfg's to make things easier, especially since I didn't know the first thing about scripting and didn't want to learn how. However, no it seems I have a lot of unnecessary/counter-intuitive stuff in my scripts that I want to update to make things easier for me and my former scout partner (g-mang) hasn't played competitive tf2 or really any steam games since like 2011. So basically I was wondering what would be the easiest way of going about creating custom cfgs for myself would be; I dunno if I should just buckle down and learn scripting, find a cfg generator, or just beg someone to do it for me, or even just grab someone else's configs and try to adjust to them.
whenever you switch to medic in game try typing in console, "exec medic.cfg" and if that doesn't work, there's probably a file in the wrong directory
Nice looking site + supporting tf2 and quake, seems cool
i liked the music, was funky
FzeroPretty sure that is the only time in 3 years I've ever said that about ESEA servers. Usually they run as well as a skial server
um no esea servers don't deserve a compliment like that
ClandestinePzHuman Revolution was a highly flawed and uneven, but ultimately enjoyable sequel (although I didn't beat the game because it got really lame toward the end).
what
CHEERISSLol. If you want glory, win games. If you want better rankings, do it yourself. Plus ranking does not even matter. What matters is winning games and playoffs. Deathanchor really does have a tough job. And barely gets paid anything for doing it.
the fact that he receives money for shitting out a turd this smelly makes me uncomfortable
OfficialVinylI only said that because that's what I want to do, no matter how ignorant I may be. The match-ups in brawl is pretty much the only thing I focus on, because it's what tells what the player can or can't do, what they need to avoid, and how to take advantage.
The skill of a player does determine how much use he/she can make out of a character, and the put it down in a match-up thread only to determine the tier list in a proper way. It's just there to tell you which character has a stronger chance of victories. I'm not gonna follow that route where people choose snake and stuff only because he's better.
I'm in competitive brawl because I want to beat the people who beated other people by finding strategies and ways to take advantage, not a cheat sheet. I can assure you most smash pros do the same as I do, not because of the tier list, but because it the character the find most comfortable to play with.
Bah, random rambling, yes. But that's just my two cents. I also hate myself for starting an argument.
Edit--
Here's another video. This one was my favorite.

I wasn't trying to argue with you either, just saying tier lists serve a purpose
it'd be like saying that a 6s team in tf2 should be able to run a full time spy just because the player is so good at tf2
