#1793 THE GREAT TF.TV CHALLENGE in Off Topic
fosterGot to hang out with OK Go a bit

I love OK Go too! This was from the SF show a few days ago- I think the 7th time I've seen them live. Always swell dudes, they love their fans.

And DNC, you kinda look like their guitarist.

#26 new spongebob movie! in Off Topic

I'm not really feeling the 2D animation style, something about it seems... slightly off. Maybe it's the color choices or the slightly crisper lines. It's possible another studio is doing some of the work, and not just their core staff. As for the 3D, I'm a little glad that they didn't really change the character models but the way it's integrated with live-action... Idunno man. I'll have to see more footage to get a better idea.

#68 the art thread in Off Topic

I posted my drawn art a few posts back, but I guess this could be considered as art too...

That rifle is scaled to my height relative to the Sniper's in-game model. Which ended up being 54 inches long. And it's fucking heavy for me to carry around.

Here's a work in progress album: http://imgur.com/a/GPHeP with some shots of the whole costume. I think I got it pretty accurate, though I'm still working on the whole 'middle-aged 6-foot-something Australian male' thing.

This Spring I added on a botkiller head that I got 3D printed. I might repaint it to get it closer to the in-game model.

I also made myself an Anger hat for fun.

#12 i52 Perk Fulfillment in News

Hey Enigma- A few weeks ago I put up a thread to sell off my art for fundraising, and I do have some funds I was able to get from that. Unfortunately I missed the deadline [looks like the campaign is closed] since I'm on vacation away from home. Is there still some way to send the money off to the fundraiser? I really don't want to pocket it since it's not mine to begin with. Worst comes to worst I'll put it towards my friend's fire recovery fund.

#36 PSA: Stay safe at night in Off Topic
8-BitEveryone should also be safe on trains at night, I've had some bad experiences.

I don't know if anyone else here lives in Sydney but travelling on cityrail trains at night is dodgy as fuck.

Yes, being on an empty train at night is one of the scariest experiences I've had. People don't get checked for tickets too often around that time so just anyone can walk onboard. Even more terrifying since I don't carry around any sort of defense as a small woman.

To add onto Lauren's advice [which is all very good]: Don't hesitate to actually call someone you feel is trustworthy- if you get disconnected suddenly I'm sure they will pick up on the fact that something is wrong and may be able to alert someone to your location assuming you clued them in on it.

But seriously, I'm glad you're okay Mana. Sorry about the loss of your things- but thankfully they didn't hurt you too much.

#16 TF2Center: The Movie in Videos

I just realized near the end, the other team had a Pyro and Sniper running to mid on Badlands. And somehow a slow market gardener flying towards you is a bit more scary than usual.

#6 Newbie Mixes in Events

Haven't been in Mixes since the old one came and went, it was a lot of fun. Some crazy whack ubers came out of that.

Also the last Mix I played on Gully, our entire team capped their second, and I turned around to realized the enemy Demoman had stickied the wall of the point and forgot to det. That would've killed most of our team.

Rikachuthe third one is pudding cup

Yup, it is indeed! It was a gift for driving me around at Lan.

fluffGotta get that plat tshirt

Trust me, I'd get all of them if I could, and if they made them in lady sizes.

BUICKAwesome work, illustrator based?

I'm actually using Paint Tool SAI! It's relatively cheap for a painting software, not as powerful as Photoshop, but can deliver good results and is highly customizable.

shiznohow large would the bulk donations be? do you have a set number, or however much money you make in x days?

I dont, it's going to depend how many I get in this upcoming week. I'll just donated all I have around the day before the fundraiser wants to have enough money by.
