#44 ESEA League S15 - EU TF2, MAIN DIVISION $90k+ in Prizes in News

I know that I'm going to get de_stroyed if I join ESEA but I won't regret it, since I know I helped TF2 grow, and know that if I suck it up this season for only like $8 (still not sure how much is the fee for Open) we will probably get ESEA to create more divisions for the EU TF2 scene and so I will join (hopefully) the next season.

One thing that I love about ESEA is that they reward every division winner, Open, IM, Invite, all get paid for winning their divisions, which is awesome and something that actually could motivate you alot.

Also more weeks, more maps, more unlocks, better system.
Hopefully they will take their current map pool :)! (maybe not gpit, but maybe another a/d map, ediface is my choise :>)

I don't mind losing $8, I really don't, I just hope they will create division like IM, Open, Main, Invite, maybe those are too many divisions, but it seems like more teams will start signing up if they won't be matched with Mike, stefan and kaidus in the same division.

To all Europeans there, if you got a couple of spare Euros / Sterlings / Bananas / Keys / Hats, go sell them, get some cash, get into ESEA EU Open, have some fun playing, play against cool prem dudes, play in a new and awesome system and support this growing eSport.

You can't say you never wanted to be like b4nny or Platinum typing in chat:
.ready
.gaben
x)

Killing, we will sign up, we will lose (not the Prem dudes) our dough, but we do this because we love the game, and we want more divisions, I can agree that it is a huge risk to open more than one division atm, take example from ESA, at the 1st cup I was excited to play and support, yet it started to become more and more a fight between the Prem teams for the headsets & cash, I didn't mind losing there, but the fact that they're continuing on doing the same thing over and over, and starting to collect fee for entering, that doesn't motivate me to pay and sign up, if ETF2L was a Pay-to-Play system, I would pay, but only if I was put in my right skill level.

Great job overall!

Even when I apologize, it's not good enough, really?
I didn't mean for this thread to become an argument thread, for real, all I said was my opinion, you can -frag me all you want, you can also not accept my apology, but for the love of gabe, stop making it look like I hate VTV.

I even said before that I enjoy their streams, I didn't say that I hate the organsation, maybe I dislike a caster there but that doesn't mean that the I hate the org.

I didn't try to justify what I said, everything I said was my hoesnt opinion.

I'm not asking for VTV to listen to me, I was just into a really cool idea, I wanted to share it with you guys, and then the arguments started to happen and I felt like just because I suggested something people think I hate someone, I was wrong by saying VTV is dying, it was just my point of view on it, you took it to places I didn't even mean it to get, and you keep bringing it up.

What else can I say? maybe look at the actual thing I suggested instead of -fragging me to death for apologizing?

I'm sorry if I took it too far, I was just suggesting a cool idea, I thought it might be able to happen and wanted to see what you guys think about it, that's all..? people took it to places where I hate VTV or something, I just spoke my honest opinion and that's all.

Sorry.

#2 Easy TF2 Server Remote Control Tool in TF2 General Discussion

What about installing logs, tftrue, sizzlingstats, adding new maps to the server?

I'm pretty sure everything has to be done from a file convereter but I thought perhaps it could be possible with your site aswell :)!

Also can you tell me who's that Romanian singer, small, mustache, something with Gutse? I need his full name x)

SkullyI'm sure you've not watched one of our streams then

I have actually, and alot of them, I always open 2 tabs of the casters in TF2, I mute one of them, but I still leave them both open.
I sometimes watch the Team-Comms Stream, which is something I really enjoy and that is something that VTV is doing well and should keep doing.

BoneSIf one of our casters goes on holiday, there are 5 others ready to jump in. If Pledge goes on holiday you can wave goodbye to your coverage.

You really think that quantity is better than quality? so what if you guys have 5 casters to jump in, you got Mia to jump in and cast?, then I would rather watch a STV of the game rather than the actual stream, it's the sad truth.

BoneSVTV has more casters, more streamers and the biggest TF2 Lan to date

You guys have so many more things than TF.TV, but why not more viewers? why do people choose to watch TF.TV instead?
The thing is, quality beats quantity, no matter how many streamers, how many casters you have, it will always depend on how good someone is.
"Biggest TF2 Lan to date", well who else casted a LAN before if not you folks?

I hope, with all my heart, that TF.TV will get a chance to host the next big Worldwide LAN, they deserve a chance.
I would never want VTV to stop streaming or casting, the more organisations to cast TF2, the bigger it will grow!

I salute everyone in VTV to keep doing a good job!

Well, from all the feedback, and the response from VanillaTV, it seems like doing this won't probably work, VanillaTV is dying slowly, and I think that if they don't bring some of their OWN casters and don't bring their best ones, Multiplay will probably be upset.

We can dream and wish to have the best casters up there on the grand stage, but in the end of the day it's going to be VTVs choise.

I love Arx & Beta, but please, learn from your mistakes, see what people are saying here.

EggplantArx and Beta have such good synergy when they cast together, is it really okay to just split them up like that?

Maybe get an individual good European caster? although I can't think of any awesome one like Arx & Beta, maybe byte?

I wish Pledge was still on VTV just because of this kind of situation :,(

#56 Tip of the Hats 2 Planning/Info in TF2 General Discussion

I would donate just to see Tyler "TLR" Morgan with Andrew "Dave_AnalCrusher/AntiCheese" Cook play in the bball tourney.

Btw, try playing on koth_bunkalow, seems like a fun new ultiduo map, but I know that seeing ultiduo_baloo on TotH was so cool.

P.S: I'm donating anyway.

#1 i49 Casters! in LAN Discussion

It's just an idea, I was prepeared for the -fraggers :/

I remember watching ESL quakelive tournament with Rapha and a Russian guy if I'm not mistaken, and they had 2 casters:
An American one and a European one.

I think that the fact that they had a Euro caster and a Yank caster made it feel like they were rivals, and one was cheering for their home team (guy), which was really fun to hear and watch.

So I thought to myself, since this LAN is going to be having (again) an American team, and an Australian team, and it's going to be the biggest LAN ever, how about we also spice things up with the casters?

I know many people who don't really like Arx & Beta, however I like how they complete each other and it's a real good combo, but I would love to hear (perhaps) Sal vs Beta / Arx (if HRG and a European team make it to the grand final), or whatever European caster vs an American caster that is going to attened i49, and if it happens to be that 2 European teams would battle on the Grand Final stage, then Arx & Beta will be up there and cast.

In the case of the Australian team coming up to the grand stage, well that's a little problem I assume, unless an Australian caster or a guy who knows the team well and does a good job of casting them is going.

If this situation happens on the grand stage of i49:
HRG vs European team = Sal vs European caster.
European team vs European team = Arx & Beta.
HRG vs iM = Sal vs ??? - Perhaps the only problem with this idea.
iM vs European team = ?? vs European caster - And another case of a problem.

So I wanted to know what this lovely community would have to say about that, and which
casters should be on the grand stage if these kind of situations happen to occur, and if VanillaTV would go along with the idea.

It's just an idea I had that I wanted to share with you guys and see what you think about it.

#4 Getting Better in Mentoring

Play scrims / pugs / lobbies, any sort of competitive form of game with the class you intened to improve at.

I play Soldier (roam) and found out, that the more you actually play the game, and practice rollouts in an actual game, you can get to a point where it's a simple thing to do.
You also improve in gamesense and communicating with your team, and learning which calls are the right ones to make.

MGE is purely for DM, it makes you better, no doubt, you should play at for a while, if you have a match and you got some spare time before the match, and you think you're not warmed up or something, play some MGE, it'll get you warmed up quickly.

Jump maps are good, very good, but most of the jump maps aren't that useful in-game, create an offline server and start practicing jumps & rollouts, think about new and cool ways that you can play a certain map or get better at the jumps there.

Play a match, check which jumps did you fail to do, or which ones you should have done, practice that specific jumps and you'll see you'll get better.

tr_rollout (or whatever it's called) is a good map if you want to practice rollouts offline.

TL;DR My advice, play the game, for me jump maps are purely for challenge and fun, MGE gets you better in DM and it sure helps out when it comes to in-game battle, play it often, and you'll see that in-game you'll never have to worry about trying to score an airshot or win a 1v1.

#8 New Keyboard in Hardware
SolidSpeerlaiyeJackyLegsIf you do want to get a gaming keyboard Why would you want to get a >gaming< keyboard? They're overpriced and mostly shitty

Did I say you SHOULD get?, I said IF.
Most of them are overpriced, but not most of them are shitty, only some Mechanichal keyboards are bad, most of 'em are very comfortable and lovely to type on.

And did you even read what I wrote at the 1st lines of what I wrote?

From my experience, since the keyboard section is so large, it really doesn't need to have a "gaming" tag next to it to make it a good keyboard, you can buy a 20$ Microsoft keyboard, and it'll be ok, as long as you like the way it feels, and it doesn't break after a 2 weeks, it's a good keyboard.

I know that when I buy a keyboard, I think of stuff that I need.
Space, comfort, won't break easily, have some usb ports on it, etc'.
I don't know about you, but those things don't come in a normal keyboard.
It may be overpriced, but some of 'em, are actually worth the price you pay.
