None of you guys said Airplane!
Maybe it's before your time. Maybe you guys have no understanding of good comedy. But seriously, instead of making people do really dumb stuff and milking each joke for 5 years, Airplane! just says, "Hey, didn't like that joke? Here's 3 more in the next two minutes."
Here's the process for creating a HL profile.
Download the UGC HL configs (found at http://www.ugcleague.com/files_tf2h.cfm ). You'll need them later.
Login to clanforge. On the right hand side, you'll see a link listing your server (under manage my server). Click it.
On the left, click on profiles, then create a new profile. The game is Half-Life 2, mod is TF2, last field is Team Fortress 2, name the profile whatever you want, and create it. You should be taken to a menu. Set the server password if you want.
Click on configs, then select upload file. Upload each of the config files.
Under the folder "Team Fortress 2" open the file labelled "server.cfg". Replace it with this (replace koth with ctf, standard, or whatever as required):
// Server Details
hostname "$$name$$"
// Passwords
rcon_password "$$admin_passwd$$"
sv_password "$$game_passwd$$"
sv_downloadurl "http://redirect.multiplay.co.uk/files/hl2ds/orangebox/tf"
sv_region 3
fps_max 0
exec ugc_HL_koth.cfg
Save the profile to be safe.
Then just click on the maps section, remove dustbowl, and put in whatever map is relevant. Save again, then save and apply.
Things that could be happening:
1. You're playing too much and need to take a break. Get some exercise, sleep more, stay hydrated, all that stuff.
2. You're actually just recognizing your mistakes and are doing the same/better as before in terms of gameplay. If you play a lot, you'll see what's making you fail. Look at a demo of yourself from a week/month ago and a demo of yourself from today and honestly assess your skill level in each. I'm sure you've not gotten worse.
3. You're just playing against better people than before.
Sideshowand if it uses a heavy as well that'd be sick.
This is from warmfront second to mid, but it does use a heavy.

Holiday Punch also has the issue where it doesn't "feel" competitive.
"Oh, I died because I was forced to laugh? Nice competitive game we have here."
First season/1.5 seasons/2 seasons of MLP.

2sy_morphiendWhen a map is objectively more conducive to upsets by virtue of its design then it is necessarily more random than any other map in the rotation.
This is not true.
If the map is less DM-heavy and more focused on strats, then it has a higher chance of upset.
Randomness will lead to a map that has a higher chance of upset, yes. However, just because a map has a higher chance of upset, it isn't necessarily based on randomness.
Feel free to ask me for help as well.
I got an 18 on the USAMO last year. I do tutoring and founded a math circle at my school.
Add me if you have questions.
SummerYes we actually have an Asian Comp scene
I'd say our top teams would be equivalent to low-invite in the NA scene.
Here's a VOD of our biggest tournament grand finals back in September casted by Greaver:

Asian Tf2 is exciting to watch! :D
To quote Slin: It was like a high open match. One player had 5 dominations. You can't call it competitive if one player is able to do that well.
Also, for people asking about 0:21, he has auto-rescope on, and was typing something in chat.
Apparently it's happening again on my Multiplay server.
It was fixed for a while.
I donated as Major Mager :3 to get the vhalin treads for a friend.

PurpleShirtWhiskerBiscuitSpamfestWe're supposed to say what item we want in the comment section in the link, not in this thread, right?Correct :)
What happened to this?
We're just saying what we want so other people don't donate for that item before the list gets updated.
