I've seen b4nny's hud and others, and I noticed it has some changes, so I was wondering, how do you modify the stock hud?

use this https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/GCFScape to extract files you want from tf2_misc_dir.vpk and then treat them like any other custom hud file

It's a bit outdated, you can get the current version from: https://github.com/JarateKing/TF2-Hud-Reference/tree/master/reference

Also includes an auto-update batch file if you put TF2-Hud-Reference into custom, so you can instantly extract the whole base hud with that.
