Hi,

I was trying to make my own hitsound and I'm pretty sure I followed the right steps, but, it won't play in game. The file is a .wav, it is in the right folders and I have hitsounds activated. I'm not sure what is wrong. The bit rate is 708 kb/s, it is a 16 bit signed PCM and is at 44.1 kHz.

Any help is appreciated, along with an explanation of how it was done.

Here is the download

A lot of people forget that the hitsound needs to be loud enough to be audible over ambient noises of the map and other sounds. Try increasing the volume.

Thanks that worked perfectly, I thought it was loud enough but I really had to turn the volume up.
