in game demo support is pretty good
you can set prec to record everything

mind the in game demo recorder, it records pregame which can take up a lot of space on ur hard drive

You can bind the in-game recording to be manual. Once the countdown begins you just press the button. That way pre-game isn't recorded

Rarely you'll realise you forgot to press record after you make a good play but there's always STV

edit: bind f7 ds_record;bind f8 ds_mark
Pretty sure those commands are correct. Record starts the demo, Mark is for bookmarks. try "find ds_" in console for finding the other commands like minimum killstreak/killstreak delay/delete if no bookmarks/etc

It keeps recording after the game though you can just use "stop" in console to end it or leave the server
