DX8 particle effects issue

After asking few of my friends about my problem and not finding out working solution I've decided to put my problem here, on forums.

Whenever I switch from dx9 to dx8 I can't see many particle effects (such as rocket trails/medigun beam/overheal crosses etc). Recently due to fps drops I've decided to try out new cfg, found this thread and got mastercomfig from there. Thought that missing particles could be fault of my old comanglia's cfg but apparentaly its neither fault. I've asked few of my friends that still plays on dx8, looks like for few particle effects still works, for other few don't thats why they switched to dx9. Ikr that dx8 is not supported in tf2 anymore but what made me really curious is how for few people particles works and for other few they don't. Is there any possibility to make them appear back on dx8, because I'd love to get back on dx8 basing on how huge fps boost it gives, but it's impossible to play comp without particles (you can't even see if you attack buffed/being healed target or not :x)

If such thread was already made then sorry for another one. Just link it here and close it. Thanks!

Are you using directX 8.0, if so try 8.1

I actually play with 8.1/81 always every particle works fine *airblast looks blocky*

synriseif you have AMD roll back to 16.12.2

Gosh, I hoped it will miss driver stuff. Recently had lot of issues with AMD drivers, couldn't switch at all from black bars to stretched res. Well, I'll try rolling back to 16.12.2 and we will see if it will help. Thanks ^^

Doesn't work on both 80 and 81. Only on 90+

Fixed. Roll back to 16.12.2 Crimson helped. Huge thanks Syn <3
