.wav, put in custom\broeselhud_blue-master\sound\ui and named hitsound / killsound

yet when i am using them in game, there are no hitsounds or killsounds and throughout the game i lose random sounds such as heavy minigun, fall damage, rockets shooting, etc

if anyone could help i would appreciate it. i just want to use my corn boy sounds!!!

dont put them in hud folder
make a directory like this:
tf/custom/my_custom/sound/ui
and drop the files there named hitsound/killsound
u dont have to name the third folder that, it can be whatever

wtzy tho? i put everything in my hud folder and it works fine

because your hitsound has nothing to do with your hud, why would you put it there?

thats literally not changing anything lol it doesnt matter where i put the sound\ui folders as long as its branching off of custom\asdf (i've put many different hitsounds in broeselhud master \ sound)

if anyone else tries these out and gets them to work please post because im starting to feel like its not only me with this issue, possibly an issue with the hitsound?

edit : forgot to say that i even tried to put it in a seperate hitsound folder and still doesnt work same effect

janedoewtzy tho? i put everything in my hud folder and it works fineorganization

you could argue that putting everything in a single folder instead of having a million folders is more organized

yea the sound issues started mid-scrim for me, not right away

im thinking it might have something to do with the size of the file or something, but im not sure yet

edit : seems like any hitsound larger than 250kb might have this issue.

edit2 : nope, got the same hitsound in a much lower quality and they still DONT work

I have exactly the same problem. Sometimes i lose hitsound, dead-ringer decloack, flamethrower sounds etc. I noticed it happens less often if you make them use the same pitch value.

Does a snd_restart fix it (temporarily)? It might be the length of the hitsound causing problems, try one of the default ones in your advanced options and see hear if it still happens
