so I'm a big dumb idiot and I accidentally cucked myself out of a team this season, but I do still sorta want to play if the team is right

pocket/demo are the classes I'm good at, roamer/scout not so much

I reserve the right to say no to offers, meaning I prolly won't actually find a team unless someone gets cut and a team is desperate halfway through the season

If you want to win IM he is a disposable necessity. You NEED this man.

Joking aside, good at game despite the memes other people make about him. Honestly deserves to have a full season.

I miss mstard map reviews :(

He's gotten pretty good tbh, definitely improved on jumps and general dm
My biggest problem with him was that he sometimes made tf2 not enjoyable to play because he was so stubborn about his calls being right or trying to micro the whole team instead of just worrying about his own game (hence why most good IM teams cut him when they realize they're all better than him and don't need to be microd)
I also found that sometimes his brain was too big for his head and he would talk constantly but not be very concise in his wording so comms would just be clogged and it'd give me a headache

That said I rang for sandblast's team during playoffs and found that surprisingly be was not even the one talking the most and when he did talk he was mostly right about things and didn't come irrelevant shit or argue too much. Somehow that team had more people trying to comm and it was just a giant clusterfuck lol
He has always been somewhat of a smart player but the issue is in execution and getting along with people. Playing on a team with mustard you pretty much have to all agree that he is the main caller and if anyone disagrees it's his way or the highway.

I think he's gotten more chill though and definitely has potential to make a team really good provided they listen to him
There's a million IM demos LFT but I don't think too many pockets of maincallers are out there, I'd say he's worth giving a shot even if you have bad impressions of him from the past.

After being on a team with mustard, and hearing a lot of memes about him and all that, I I agree with most of that bear said. He plays quite well, especially on demo. his soldier jumps are a lot better too, and he understands the game very well. He talks a lot, which is good if you have a lot of very quiet people on the team, but if you have mustard plus another talker or two, you're gonna have a clusterfuck of comms every time you play.

I'd say his biggest issue related to comms is when he tries to justify and explain himself in the middle of a game. Many times if he's countercalled, or something happens where he disagrees with someone on the team, he takes time to talk about it and debate it during the match, and then people get upset and confused and the coordination falls apart. if he worked on simply moving forward and focusing on the current objective instead of trying to prove that he's right in the middle of a match, he would improve his teammate experience a lot.

outside of match comms though, he is an agreeable guy, funny and quite nice. He is really pretty agreeable and fun outside of a game setting, and will admit that he may have made the wrong call or that he was just plain wrong, but during games he really has trouble with just letting this go. I enjoyed chatting with him and hanging out before and after scrims, he talks a lot about stuff he's passionate about outside of TF2 which was interesting to hear.

yeah overall don't believe the memes, during the game it's his way or the highway, but if he works on that attitude, he could be an amazing teammate and team leader!

I let this thread fall down because I had a ridiculous amount of work but I'm finally almost to the point where I can play games again

not sure whether or not I'm gonna be able to find an actual good team within the last week of registration (pre-extension) but hey let's see what's out there

Really smart, clear main-calling, and mechanically solid. I know when he played briefly on my team we were weighed down by some team chemistry issues, but I still have mad respect for him as a player.
